You could try Firefoxinstead as it handles tags just fine smile It's also better supported in the geek community and it doesn't have any ads.
My favourite element is FoxyTunes - tiny music player controls at the corner of the window that work with any of the popular players biggrin

It is lighter on features than Opera, no IRC client, but it works very well.
