I like to smile & say hi to folks I pass in the street.
I'll sometimes get a 'gosh you're wierd' look, but mostly I get smile back. smile
It kinda makes my day if I say hi to someone who was looking decidely stressed, and they respond with a smile. I feel I've lightened their mood, saddo that I am biggrin
BTW random, I like your new signature, it brought back many memories of watching it with my kids. Good on yer

I do not think NON members should have access to the forums anyway.
But then again...who am I ? lol
Come on slate me for that. I have not had a good slating for ermmmmmmm....two days now. wink

I tend to agree in some ways. I imagine though, that the forums are left open to entice new members to join as they can read the shite/funny/thought provoking debates/conversations/advice column type threads that we have but they can't post without a membership.
We're just another selling point for the site really
Yes Angel, am sure that is the reason.
I have always thought it wrong how anyone can access the forums, without being fully paid up members. Thats just my view.
Must admit that I also find it unfair that non-members can read the forums, and to be honest it has made me reticent to post on more than one occasion. It's one reason why we didn't have an avatar for ages and why we are careful about what we use for our avatar.
confused: If non-members are allowed access to the forums, is there any way that the avatars could be hidden - some folks may only 'read' these forums in the hope of seeing some 'naughty pics' sillyhwoar:

We were there...did anyone else make it?

Hi,
yes we were there too - said a quick 'Hello' to 'Maggiejames52', but always find it hard to remember who said they might be there - terrible memory for names.... its our age wink so, sorry to any other SH members who we missed.
Another great night, thanks again to the owners for a lovely evening.
You keep me hanging on by the supremes
ooops
"You keep me hanging on" - The Supremes rolleyes
mrs kns
"Your good girls gonna go bad" - Billy Jo Spears
Do I get bonus points cos it contains the line "I'm gonna be the swingingest swinger you ever had" lol

Blimey minx, what a thread for so early in the morning
Sounds like you had a real tough time all those years ago, but I'm pleased you seem to have worked your way through it.
Well done, be proud that your inner love was not destroyed, a less strong person may have crumbled completely
They do say that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. kiss

As the East Anglian Social for this date has had to be cancelled and we were really looking forward to a night out we were thinking of going to Xscape Cambridge instead. We just wondered if anyone fancied meeting up there. Can just be a social or whatever you want it to be. Might be fun. We have never been to a club before so would be good to meet others who have.
Any thoughts anyone?

Hi, we will try and be there this Saturday - sending you an email too.
Anyone else going?

Many years ago there was a TV program called UFO which had a car which had 'gull wing' type doors (looked a bit like the de-loreon car of the 80's). To open the doors there was a catch right at the very bottom of the car.
It seemed very high tech at the time, but looking back you think ........ why didn't they think of central locking confused: or was that deemed too far-fetched lol
mrs kns

Hi tech? you mean like this Mercedes 300?

This is the 1955 model btw wink
And as soon as "Anti grav" becomes a reality ... that car will sooo be resurrected
Yep, a bit like that, I was hoping some-one would understand my description.
Pah, the cheek of it, a tv show using an idea that had been around for 15 years rolleyes must have been an example of re-cycling.
And in my defense re thinking the car looked hi-tech ........... I never knew about the mercedes 300 cos I wasn't born till 1956

As a 'forum newbie' I have never felt criticised or be-littled, but (like Lucy used to do) I do tend to stay away from the contoversial ones.
If I read a post that winds me up, I take the cowards way and think about it a bit, calm down, and then realise that it's not worth getting into an arguement about. Thats one of the joys of the written forums, I sure as heck couldn't do that in 'normal' conversation.
Or it could be that I don't post frequently enough to piss folks off lol
I find the forums entertaining and informative, keep posting folks

Note to self .............. gate crash CBnRed's party next Dec.
 :rascal: :rascal:
Good thread lol
I also work from home & one more disadvantege I can think of .....
The office Christmas party is a bit quiet confused :?
I should also be working, but the lure of the SH forum is too strong for a girlie with not much will power. ho hum.
ps - no snow here, but it's flipping freezing, and the builder has the back door open ffs.
I keep seeing number plates that start BJ08.
It may be my warped mind, but that makes me think of blow job blast

I think that every memeber should be be hooked up to the national grid by the balls for a fellah and the nipples for the ladies. If an uninvited whisper occurs then we should be able to press a button that allows the juice to flow.
This just might prevent another whisper lol
Dave_Notts

hold on a mo Dave, this might encourage some folks to whisper more rolleyes

Innocent programmes like...Watch with Mother, Bill and Ben. lol
Lost in space, can anyone remember the black and white version?

ooooh Bill & Ben, with you on that one.
Also loved the Woodentops, but didn't like Andy Pandy
Suzi Quatro - quess I knew I was bi at an early age
I've recently started going into the chatrooms (I used to leave it to mr kns).
If anyone says "Hi room" I tend to say hi back to them. If anyone says "any one in such-and-such place" I tend to reply to that too. It's usually with something like "not us I'm afraid - long way away" ........ain't life just like that !!! smile
I've noticed that quite often not many others replied like this and I'm starting to think I'm being a bit too gobby dunno lol

Hi,
Seems like some of our Friends & Favourites status has not been updated - i.e. a lot of them appear on-line even though we know they are not.
Anyone else got the same problem?

love the new look of the site, but the old profiles used to tell distance away this was very usefull. please can we have that feature back.
does anyone else agree?

Yes, we would love to have the 'distance' feature added back - OK it was never very accurate, but gave a good indication of where people were.
Hope this can be done.
