This seems to suggest that "normal" hardcore would be okay although there's still the grey area of BDSM.
What's everyones opinion on this ( )?
Personally I have a few of issues with it.
1) My internet is provided by work (as I work from home) so I guess I'm going to have to invest in my own connection.
2) What constitutes "Depicting ?". You could argue that bondage and other BDSM content depicts as it can appear forced.
3) "New laws so videos streamed online in the UK will be subject to the same restrictions as those sold in shops". Does this affectively ban all hardcore content, including video's uploaded here?
All seems very draconian to me.

I don't really like the whole gay, bi, straight labels. People get too hung up on them. Outside of the swinging world, it's all a case of who you fall for. I've know people who have thought of themselves as completely straight, then met that special person who happens to be of the same sex. Does that mean they've always been bi or gay, or is it just love.
In the case of swinging, it's all just pleasure, does it really matter if the person giving you that pleasure is the same sex?
I've been around people in so called "Alternative" relationships since I was a young teenager so maybe I'm just more open to the idea.
Disclaimer:
Please note this is only my opinion, I understand other people have different points of views and I'm not say they are wrong and I am right.

You're not really helping yourself by being so arrogant as to think that you know what's best for everyone.

I suppose that was my problem with speedy's posts, I felt there was an assumption that he know's more than me. However it can be hard to word things in the way you meant it. Speedy probably didn't mean to come across that way.
Well, that's very generous of you. biggrin
I try. And then after I've got my breath back, I try again

As cu3b4ll mentioned. The best way of protecting yourself from Viruses is to change how you use the internet. Don't download cracked software, don't visit free porn sites, etc. Have a hardware firewall, but still ensure that your OS's firewall is enabled.

I'm very very surprised by your results, guess you win. Quite happy really because firstly you proved me wrong with the results and secondly i was going to offer a free piece of software if anybody proved me wrong.
I have to disagree with the highlighted comment above, it depends on where the software comes from. If you downloaded from Warez then you are very very safe, if you used torrents from a private tracker then you are also very safe. But torrents with public trackers and any other source you use to download software are very dangerous.

To a certain degree you are correct but there are two points I considered when writing my post.
1) This forum is read by a fair few people who would not have understood what you said. It's easier to be generalistic in an effort to help people avoid the things that are likely to feck up their machine. After all the more we can do to stop machines becoming zombies the better.
2) Cracked software is illegal... biggrin

IMHO it doesn't matter too much which anti-virus software you use, as long as you have a tight firewall and are sensible about your internet usage. You can have all the virus scanners in the world installed, but they'll let you down eventually if you spend your time opening unsolicited email attachments.
In edit... I have:
AVG (free)
Zonealarm (free)
Microsoft Defender (free)
Adaware (free)
Spybot Search & Destroy (free)
Hijack This (free)
I think you can see the pattern. ;-)

lol, are you having a laugh???
I'll give you a challenge, get Nod32 installed on your system. Turn off your internet connection and run Nod32 and then post a screen shot of the final result.
You will definately find either viruses, trojan horses, worms etc etc on your system.
To MaidstoneCouple: you guys should also try this and see how reliable Avast really is. Personally i wouldn't touch it.
No... I wasn't having a laugh rolleyes
You seem to be taking this thread far too personally. Life's too short ;-)
Challenge accepted and done. As expected my system is completely clear of viruses, etc.

On the positive side:
NOD32 was quick on doing a full scan and looks far more professional than Avast!
On the negative side:
It had a larger memory footprint than Avast and even though I installed the 64-bit version the service is still 32-bit.
Oh I also couldn't find an option to remove the icon from the tray, something minor but tends to annoy me.
Now I'm not going to say NOD32 isn't better than Avast, but the point is why should I pay for something when I don't need the extra protection.

I've not had any problems with Avast, but then I'm not the best person to judge anti-virus capabilities seeing as I've only ever suffered from 2 viruses in my entire computing history! One of those was intentional (knew it would give me a virus).
I've tried AVG in the past but found it was lacking a feature that Avast has. Don't ask me what it was cause I can't remember.
I don't tend to download stuff from places that are likely to contain viruses, and my network is locked down quite tight.

I use the anti virus software that the hackers use I don't use the number one commercial one, cos that is what the hackers are writing virus's to break into mostly.

So what would that be???
Here is a list of Antivirus programs that you should use but I would only use one of the 1st two:
Nod32 (from Eset) - Currently the best on the market
Kapersky - Also brilliant but not as good as Nod32
AVG - not too bad
McAfee - Very well marketed but rubbish and very resource hungary, slows down your system
Norton - Also very well marketed but rubbish and very resource hungary, slows down your system
Bullguard - complete waste of time along with anything else you can think off
Have you used Avast!? I'm quite happy with it.
Trojan Horses are about fooling someone into downloading something, which subsequently opens access to the PC. Trick is to be very selective about what you download. Things to avoid are smiley packs for Messenger, oh and Messenger Plus! Although they don't always have trojan horses or spyware, they are unofficial and can cause messenger to crash.

I'd be interested in knowing a)What anti-virus you're using and b)How you know which one the "Hackers" use.
On a side note. I really hate the term Hacker in this usage. They are not hackers, they are criminals. The origin of the name "Hacker" is actually found in the roots of Computer Science and refers to an expert in the field.

It makes a tiny difference with a CRT. But who still uses them? On LCD, as the referenced paper says,

the power used to display a white screen is indistinguishable from power used to display the desktop.

That's because LCDs work in a completely different way - the backlight is always on. To display black, the LCD switches on to block the light.
So, my advice is to reduce the amount of power they use running their servers by going straight to Google. It won't make any difference at your end.
Yep, totally agree. Blackle makes no difference, unless your* on a CRT and if you're on a CRT you need to upgrade ;)
*Doh! at my crappyness you're not your!.!.!

Just one question WTF is a professional guy is that apposed to an amateur guy??
I.e youre only a guy for a hobby and don't get paid for it but a professional is a guy all the time and gets paid for it???
wink

Technically the definition of a Professional is someone who's job is of an intellectual nature, as apposed to manual. However it seems to be used in a very snobbish way in the swinging world.
I believe that anyone who is sexually active should get themselves checked out at least 1 a year. Even if you're in a monogamous relationship.
I know it sounds bad but you can never be 100% sure that your partner has been faithful. It's not as if it costs anything, plus its a good time to get some flavoured condoms for free!!!
In the world of swinging it just makes sense to get yourselves checked.
Has anyones else GUM Clinic stopped making you sign the insurance waiver before the blood test? My clinic used to make you sign a doccy stating that you understand if the AIDS test comes back positive you won't be able to get insurance. The last couple of times I haven't had to sign it. Maybe that because I always use my real name and they can see that I've already signed it though.
This is quite an interesting subject. Especially in view of a posting I read about a month ago, concerning the number of action shots involving multiple partners where no protect was being used.
Personally I believe that everyone should have regular tests (say one a year) if they are sexually active. I'm also including non-swinging couples to. It's no good assuming that your partner hasn't cheated (it does happen).
As for the earlier points on "time-wasting". I'm not quite sure where this is coming from. Firstly a fair amount of STI's are asymptomatic so the only way of combating them is to have regular check-ups. Second my GU Clinic requires appointments, so all I'm doing is taking up an appointment.
Staff have always been fantastic, and free flavoured condom's wink
Do you ever find yourself browsing the forums and purposely not reading a thread because it has to many pages?
Or am I just lazy...
I used a large chocolate champagne bottle we got for our wedding on Mrs Maidstone. Was fun but melted very quick and the chocolate sort of seperated so wasn't even that nice when cleaning her up.
Just wanted to thank those who post on this forum. I don't often post but I often read and some of the posts make me laugh so hard.
umm I've never been sure about naturists spots, cause I get aroused sooo easily. My wife say's I'm the easiest man to get hard she's ever known. biggrin
Personally I think its cause I'm a perv ;)
Personally I prefer some hair. As has been mentioned the whole bald thing is a little pre-pubescent. Having said that Mrs Maidstone prefers hers bald, so I don't get any choice in the matter.
I've got quite a few Gay friends. Although that's probably because my Brother was Gay and my Niece is a Lesbian. So I've always been open to "alternative" life styles. Having said that one of my close friends that never knew my brother is Gay.
Hi, I was just wondering why the 5 minute wait has reappeared on the chartroom. There are obviously still lots of problems with the chatroom and I get kicked out regularly. Annoying but not really a problem if I can re-enter it immediately. But to ge forced to wait 5 minutes, only to get kicked out again 2 minutes later, is not annoying it makes it unusable.
Well thanks for eveyones opinions. I would still like to see more representative pictures of both members of the couples. I'm much more likely to send a message to a couple if there is a picture of both of them on it. Come on people we all must have holiday pictures. I understand why people don't like showing their faces, but they can be obscured.

welcome -why have you six out of eight pics of the female on your profile dunno
does that answer your question?
We only have a few of His on coz the others are for private viewing only
He's shy wink

I more look at it that we have one of each of us, one of us together (to prove we are actually a couple) and some random action shots.

95% of the sites now running from the new servers, most of the images are on the new server but the ones that aren't are being copied over, any image that isn't on the new server shows the coming soon thingy, should all be moved over sometime this evening.
The site isn't as quick as it should be as everyone hits the site on the old rack and travels down a bit of wire to the new rack, before we point everyone to the new rack we need to test the new load balancer, probably Thursday during the day.

Makes perfect sense to me, which is good seeing as I asked the question. But then I do work in IT so I should understand. biggrin
