I have needed extensive therapy sessions from a certain Shropshire muse before I could allow teeth anywhere near my thighs again! Actually, I am fine now, but I am not telling Sappho that just yet. I am enjoying the therapy too much!!!

Will, my sweet, perhaps I should have mentioned that your treatment will undergo a certain modification - I suggest aversion therapy. Looks for the silk scarves...
Now, did you want to play some more?
All my love, Sappho xxx
Hi Willow and welcome to SH!
Single girls are guaranteed to have a warm welcome here at SH! Ah, I remember it well, back in the days when I was a single girl! Speaking of partners, has Will fallen asleep on the sofa again?
Have fun in the forum!

PS: Could someone please give Arti a very large glass of merlot?
Kinky, your penchant for animations has taken a distinctly gross turn - and isn't very constructive either. Very yuk!
prcd4u - you'll find that on the whole dick pics aren't popular. The ladies would rather have a facial or torso shot.
Sappho (feeling rather queasy after Kinky's offering) xxx
Harry, you do resemble Nigel Davenport - and believe me that is a compliment! As for Will - yes he does resemble his namesake so very much!
I have been variously compared with Rita Tushingham and Greta Garbo. The Tushingham reference was made by a bloke at a bus stop who then went on to describe how, as an assistant manager, he'd emptied an entire hotel of guests and staff on a suspected bomb alert - because someone in dark glasses had walked into the foyer carrying a briefcase. The person in dark glasses with the briefcase turned out to be a hotel inspector for a travellers' guide. The hotel didn't get the rating it was hoping for. This guy was definitely wierd which begged the question - why do I get the wierdos at bus stops?
I much prefer the Garbo reference.

Corrie's post has just reminded me of when I was a sixth former at a party. There was I, in bed with the host and things were getting very interesting - when in trooped all his mates! They'd brought the party to us! The problem was I was at school with a lot of them. After much hurling of abuse in their general direction by him, and abjurations to keep schtum from me, they departed. It did put rather a dampener on our ardour I have to admit - and there were several knowing looks in my direction on the following Monday. redface So naive, so easily embarrassed at eighteen! How things change...

Education is a touchy subject. Learning is close to my heart yet I hated school - a Maltese Catholic nursery school run by nuns, three junior schools and three comprehensives.
The quality of the education I received at each of these establishments was variable to say the least but I ended up with four O levels and three A levels. I didn't get a Maths qualification until after my first degree - which incidentally was in Art History. Then I did an
My experiences of education caused me to assess my daughter's very critically. She is getting the best education that money can buy - literally. And it's worth every penny.
As for the state of the English language in the kingdom today... don't get me started! Too late, I've begun! I've been a GCSE examiner and I wielded the right to add or subtract 5% of a student's marks for spelling, puncturation and grammar. Invariably I subtracted. Then I tutored a friend's daughter who, though reasonably bright, didn't care one way or the other. She blithely repeated to me that her English teacher said spelling and grammar didn't matter. Her parents had to scrape me off the ceiling.
In fact language is so important to me I became a proofreader. I will freely admit that 'textspeak', bad spelling and sentence structure which is purely attributable to laziness is absolute anathema to me. I wouldn't denigrate anyone for their poor writing skills if they were genuinely making an effort, but those that 'cannot be arsed' are at the bottom of the evolutionary chain in my opinion.
Rant done! Oooh, I do feel better now!

The x-ray of Darth Vader proved conclusively that he was a baddie of very little brain
The Sarge's expression was quizzical as the ladies of the GFZ made him an offer he couldn't refuse...

whatever you do DON'T be tempted by a PGCE of any variety!!

Curiously enough I did the first part of a PGCE - but the place in which I was teaching completely put me off the profession - so much so I went into journalism for a while!
Last year I did consider going back and finishing it, but thought better of it - a better offer came up with my last job. Oh why did they have to make me redundant?

Oh Jags! I know all about it! And because I love you too you can have a share of Will with my fondest regards. After all, if you can't get a fireman for your 3000th you may as well have a duelling bard. lol

Hello J and welcome to SH!
How can I convince my wife that swinging is the way ahead?

Frankly J - you can't. This has to be entirely her choice. I can only suggest that you frequent the forums and possibly attend a munch to see what bloody marvellous people we are.
I hope you both have fun in the forum!

Niceguy, I've been in education, an administrator, a writer, a proofreader and a personal assistant. I have thought about retraining but I'm not sure what in.
What position do you think I should occupy? Any ideas or suggestions would be given serious thought!

I don't have a job at the moment at all - now that is a bit of an arse! Would anyone care to employ me? I'm methodical, adaptable, eager to please and happy to put my hand to just about anything. I'm sure I could dig up references from somewhere...

You really are just a bunch of softies aren't you? That is so-oooo sweet - and I'm sure the mods (bless their little cotton socks) will love it.
