I don`t think it has actually biggrin
Yes, but he ran away without saying goodbye*pout* wink

I thought it was a great post. The only improvement I`d suggest is to the title. Us genuine girls don`t like the suggestion we don`t exist! :P
How about hanging out in the social areas of the website too? smile

See I think it is another sign of conforming - kids wouldn't be grossed out by the knowledge that their parents had sex (I'm not talking about having them watch BTW before anyone gets too stressed here!) if society didn't tell everyone it is wrong.
This leads to kids growing up ashamed about sex and ashamed of their bodies. The problem is anyone who tries to be open with their kids is liable to be suspected of being some kind of pervert. Just the same as family naturists who are affectionate with each other. confused
Roger the Dragon cool

I think I have a pretty good balance with my kids. I`m open about sex, but not personal sex. I always run about naked in front of them (to protests), I`m the only one in the family who does, although my 9 (nearly 10) year old doesn`t seem to mind me seeing him naked as long as he`s wearing a bath!

..................... If she does or has figured it out, I hope that she`ll treat it like most other kids treat finding out about their parents sex life.....with acceptance, but without the desire to want to discuss the details! If she ever did, I`d lie, much in the same way as a parent would lie if a kid walked in on them whilst they are having sex.
`Daddy was just tickling me....honest!`
Venusxxx

This brings up another interesting point - why do we lie to our children about sex?
Roger cool
Because it grosses both you and them out if we aretooopen about it with them?
Which is why, when my eldest two are being awkward about going to bed, I`ll casually announce, `well, if you WANT to stay down here whilst we are having sex........`
They soon bloody scoot off to bed!
Actually, there is a serious behavioural answer to that, but I can`t get my semi-intelligent head on today.

A very interesting thread biggrin
On the subject of giving excuses for wanting babysitters and such like - we just say we are going to a party with friends we have met over the internet - which is completely true. We don't feel the need to come out to our family about the fact the we're not monogamous because that is about our private sex lives, however we don't see why we should lie about where we are going or where we've met people.
Roger the Dragon cool

That`s pretty much what I say. Although I wouldn`t be at all surprised if my eldest puts two and two together, she knows I socialise through this site, and she knows what this site is for, and is complaining about the amount of latex I own lol. I didn`t lie about how I found the site, which was for research purposes, but I didn`t tell her why I joined up either. I just stick to chatting about the social side.

Cor Blimey, you two are like MI5 and 6 put together. Don't know if I want to post anymore, case I get found out, I too have another alias, I also didn't pay that parking fine, and i haven't changed the address on my driving licence.
I don't think I've anymore crimes to confess.
Seriously good on you, it is nice to know that you have your fingers on the pulse.

I've still got one of my old French school books from when I was 14. Mind you, I might as well take it back, I still can't understand what it says lol

It is a hard decision to make, whether to be "out" or not - but IMO the more people who are "out", the more "acceptable" swinging will become. Jsut my tuppence worth really.

I agree with this. I wouldn`t deny it if I was `outed` either, but I don`t feel hypocritical by not coming out myself. I just don`t have the energy to confront those who I know would never except it, and if I told people locally, it would eventually reach the ears of those I`d prefer it didn`t aka my parents! Then I`d lose my babysitters, and would have to give up swinging anyway!
Besides, I`m already marching with a mental health banner, (and a few sidekick banners wink) I don`t have enough strength to carry any more! :P

I think Venus has a great point, it is us as adukts who shape the lives of our children, and we should be allowing them to see the World, or rather England in a different Light.
I also happen to be a Naturist, and we are represented by the BN, who seem to think that we as Naturists shouldn't have sex, and are anti swingers.
Our Children were brought up in a Naturist Environment, we live at a Naturist site. Pat and I have recently parted company, but I am still involved in their lives, and we still live in a Naturist establishment.
Strangely without getting too political, a lot of the BN people who advocate this sexless life are single men.
We need to move forward and away from the Victorian attitudes that Great Britian Holds so dear.
Oops Sorry didn't mean to go on so.
John
redface Embarassed Naturist Swinger NOT.

Christ. I hate it when minority groups try to promote diversity by stagnating it amongst their own groups, just so they can all march under a neatly organised banner.
How about some room for individuality?!

Well, the only ones who can change this is.. us.

If only that were true. But I don't think it is.
I agree with the sentiments that the established Churches have formulated the behaviour patterns, which don't encompass swinging. But I think also we need to remember that not all people are as mature and well balanced as some of the couples hereabouts. The sort of pressures swinging can impose on those who have not thought it through or do not have the intelligence to cope with it can be very destructive. Hence, possibly, society's wariness of swinging.
Alex - good thread!
Personally I get a little tired of the `responsibilty` of Swingers to promote, or to stay away from the media etc. It`s my sex life, and I`ll treat it with whatever discretion I see fit (at the same time of course respecting the privacy of others, as Ice points out)
Yes, it is annoying when Swingers are portrayed negatively for whatever reasons, but I don`t feel the need to carry a banner, but if people want to, then good for them. I think things are beginning to change now, it just won`t happen overnight.

How old are you?
What are you into?
Have you a sense of Humour?
Do you practice Safe Sex?
How tall are you?
What are you looking for? Man or Woman or general orgy? or would a single do?
What do you class as adult fun (naked twister perhaps on the tarmac of the bus station?)
Are you bi? Does the male of the couple need to be bi so he can suck your cock?
Are you looking for private meets or club activity. There are 2 clubs in Leicester tho if you have transport then the scene is your oyster with Chams and a few others in the west mids.

Bloody hell Steph, you forgot to ask his shoe size! How does he expect to get a shag if we don`t know his shoe size?! :giggle:

If I invited someone into my home, I`d expect them to abide by my rules and would expect to be able to extend and withdraw that invitation as I see fit, the same applies if it were my website, and many places in the public domain, such as pubs etc also reserve this right. The Mods etc do always offer explanations when asked, and have advice upon how to protest in the advice section.
Would I be wrong in assuming you aren`t a new member at all seeing as you have such strong opinions upon a site you claim haven`t interacted on?
