Excuse me Dave, but shouldn't you be answering pm's instead of frittering your time away on the forums?

I am doing Jas, although some of them I am afraid to open just yet, even the title has me flummoxed. I have to say that I have had a range of questions thus far and will do my best to answer them within the week. This game has given me a further insight into the characters on here and has also confirmed to me that venus can, at times, be cruel.
Now that cut to the bone Davej, it really did :confused2:

I`ve always seen myself as extremally provocative
Unfortunately, that`s where my meeting your criteria ends.....

Right! I have a bottle of wine, a mint Yorkie, and proper fags! My night has begun!

Standing in my dad`s pond trying to find leeches was a favourite of mine too.
Leeches are fun!

Venus, I realise that I am no mathamatician, but are you stone cold serious? :silly:

Neither am I, but it`s worth translating.

The local oddballs in my village, who help to remind me that our village is intrinsically unique everytime I fear, that like so many other places, it`s turning into something similar to the opening scene in `Edward Scissorhands`.

Here's the one that has worked for me most often.
"I haven't had you yet." :

Thanks Marmalaid, I must try that one.... confused
You really sure you wanna do that? rolleyes
I must admit that I've only used this chatup line at 2 parties so far, Marcuso's and Blue and Satins, but it has had a 100% success rate so far biggrin that;s 512 out of 512 wink
Is this a bit like one of those fisherman's tales
Shit I think I got caught out there, you may have noticed that 512 in binary is 1,000,000,000, so, if we drop the zeros because they mean nothing we get, erm, 1 redface
0 0 1 0 1 1 1 1 1 00100001 :rascal:

Would that be people who take serious things far too seriously, or people who don`t get the joke and take it far too seriously Silky? :uhoh: wink

Ok, this might sound really stupid, or really clever, depending on how correct this turns out, but as far as I can see, appeals can only be turned down if you are applying for entry as a visitor, which is what the `indefinate stay` visa amounts to? If you apply for citizenship really quickly (the application would be from your end, so no hold ups with the actual applying) then it might provoke a loophole/conflict that would prevent deportation in the near future, regardless of where you stand with the indefinate stay application?
Loads of question marks because it`s not an area I`m familiar with, but I wouldn`t be surprised if this is a possible way around the red tape. You just need to find a hole and make it wider.
Edit:
However, there is no such right of appeal in the following cases:
* Refusal to come to the UK as a visitor, unless your application relates to an application for entry clearance as a family visitor;

Now you are married to Vix you are family. Maybe I`m being simplistic, but that to me reads you are at least entitled to appeal.

Bureaucracy. Job interview on 8th Jan. Phonecall confirming I have the job on the 11th Jan. I`m still waiting to start, it`s the paper-shuffling which has taken so long, primarily one of my references. I`ve chased up the progress, been told to arrange a starting date, as most of the requirements have been received, only to find out that the person who I need to speak to is on leave for two weeks. banghead I`ve asked to speak to the acting ward manager regardless, but was told a couple of days ago that the person on leave is who is dealing with this. I secured a job within a couple of weeks of signing on. If I`d known it was going to take this long I`d have been in a better position to secure a temping job. I don`t know from one week to the next if I`ll be working the next Monday. It`s going to be a tough enough job as it is, without finding myself well behind on the training compared to many of the other new employees.

That makes perfect sense when looking at Blue`s post count.
I`d say (approx)
Personal post count = 400
Posts working toward the each kill = 15
Total twats banned by Blue = 640 lol

I personally would like to be taken as a overworked sex slave by a horde of Amazonian tribeswomen for a few decades before being accidentally suffocated by a massive pair of breasts.

Pair of breasts?!
Scandal, it`s far too early to respond to you. lol

Excellent. Something to restore my faith in humanity.
What makes me happy?
Closing my front door on the world, and logging into SH so I can`t rant about people who disregard others, troglodytes, spoilt kids, and their parents............

And wait til he`s wandering around letting rip and scratching his arse before we all jump out and say `SURPRISE`!
If he starts smearing himself with peanut butter though, I`m out of here! (G, no doubt, will get that one)

People who tread all over others to raise their popularity stakes.
Troglodytes who can`t tell the difference between earning fear through intimidation, or respect, and then teach their kids to be the same.
Parents who up the ante every Christmas, so that their kids can look cool when they go back to school, and who also do the same with pocket money, clothes, or simply because their kids `don`t have one yet` but some other kids raising unappreciative materialistic kids who don`t know the value of real life. There is a new ante to live up to every year mad :x :x
The world is going down the shitpan.
Jesus H Christ. I really need to stay out of this thread

 well they would certainly sit up and listen/look at that petition eh? I'm sure they don't get many petitions for people anxious to keep a swinger in the country

I was thinking about how it could be worded, but I wasn`t sure if they were ready for a parody yet. Still the idea has it`s potential
Thinking of you guys

People who write in text speak on here or in bloody letters about why their kids were absent from school. Please note that I didn't complain about spellings.

Please don`t tell me TXTSPK is used in absence letters?!

Also, perhaps the posts mods place in their own dark and scary corner of the board don`t get counted in the area which shows a lesser post count for them?

You mean the other Mods have a sneaky meeting place??
FFS!! I wondered where they were all sneaking off to when I walked into the Staff Canteen!!! confused :? :? :? :?

How does it feel to be on the outside Sarge?! I think its one of those `need to know basis` thingies! :giggle:

That`s the thing, my middle child has always worked hard toward a goal, and also is prone to tie herself up in knots over tests (I remember her in a state over her SATs). A few weeks ago a teacher told her that if she did badly on some mock GCSE papers (bearing in mind she is only 13) she would be put down a set, wouldn`t be able to secure a `C` grade in her final GCSE as she automatically be put in a foundation group, and therefore wouldn`t be able to get into the subjects she is looking to do at college. Not too much pressure then. rolleyes
As it turned out the entire class scored low as the paper was too advanced, but she came out in the top 3, with about 47%. She was having a blue fit until she found out that the teacher expected this kind of mark.
1. Give the kids papers for their age group, don`t intimidate them with practice papers for 15-16 year olds.
2. If you are going to intimidate them, make sure you can deliver the goods when it comes to their options!
Sorry Freckle, it`s not the teachers I blame, it`s the system they have to work with. Same with the NHS. Don`t bollock the nurses. :uhoh:
Oh, I`m sure there are reasons, yadda, yadda, but I don`t much care about those. At the end of the day, all I`m interested in is my daughter`s future, how available it is to her, and the message they are giving her. Period.
