TBH I've always had that problem. Are you using a 4:3 square monitor?
I find I'm worse when I use the old, square laptop and touchpad, so much so that I've started to use a USB mouse on the old lappy, as I find it more controllable. ;)

I think this is one of those topics where you're both right, but I can see no positive outcome from playing 'tennis' with posts, which appear to be on a downwards spiral.
