Gave up after 15 minutes, did not resonate with our experiences and was quite elitist to the point I turned it off.
Not a criticism (live and let live) but not our thing, seemed extremely shallow.

deepest condolences for the murdered in paris last week and deepest sympathy to all their relatives and friends.
this magazine is not a purveyor of free speech so much as and insult to whoever it chooses.
but not israel or judaism.
bibi netanyahu being at the front of a photo shoot, not the demonstration, is an insult to humanity.
the leader of a country that not only denies the majority of people living in it freedom, but bombs them regularily.
when observing such an event as happened in paris last week, i ask myself a particular question. "in who's interests does it serve ?" que bono
certainly not the palestinians. certainly not the overwhelmingly peace loving muslims of the world.
so, one was found to have appeared in a documentary by france 24 in 2005, met nickolas sarkosy in 2009. ????
they were under french intelligence surveillance for years.
the female got away to syria via turkey to join/rejoin isis ?
as i say, deepest sincere condolences to those who lost their lives and the police commander in limoges who committed suicide on the evening of the second day of his investigations into the matter.
since when, after 10 years of bombing and occupations of iraq, afghanistan, libya, syria, yemen and pakistan, did any of those leaders assembled in paris give a fuck about anyone else dying ?
this is being used as a prelude to more war and the aircraft carrier "charles de gaulle" has just been dispatched to the middle east.
when the conjurer(media and politicians) draws your attention to something, look to the side

Two things you say I agree with. They are Deepest condolences and Deepest sympathy.
After that I think we may differ in our views. French citizens murdered French citizens. How the French want to deal with that is up to the French. In the spirit of the Entente Cordiale, when France mourns, the British comfort.
The French have no control on how it is handled in any other country but there own. Also if citizens who carry the correct travel documents (passports, visas, work permits, diplomatic immunity and the like) as we know in this country there is little they can do to stop them. In this case, why would they when they are trying to promote a feeling of unity with the rest of the world. So it serves the French to have a show of unity.
The satire we are used to in the UK differs from that in France. It is more brutal. I don't like it but if they cross the line then the French libel courts and criminal courts will decide there fate.
You suggest this magazine attacks all but the the state of Israel and Judaism! The principle of free speech is surely that nobody can tell them who they can and can not satirise?
You assert that the vast majority of Muslims are peace loving, I think this is unquestionably true, as are the vast majority of Christians, Jews, Hindus, agnostics and the list goes on. If an attack of this nature had taken place in the name of Jesus Christ, the Christian faith can "ex communicate" them This means they can not talk to god and the actions they take is not done in the name of the holy trinity. I do not know if a similar sanction is available in the Muslim faith but in my mind these murderers are no longer part of any faith and as such I do not think any Muslim has anything to apologise for. It is worth remembering that Jesus the son of god in the Christian faith is also a prophet in the Muslim faith.
I agree with a French social commentator I heard speak on Radio 4 yesterday, possibly Charlie Hebdo missed a chance of defusing the whole situation by having the prophet Muhammad holding a plaque with the words "NOT IN MY NAME" written across it! But hey, it's a free press!
On Saturday 21st March 2015, just before I will link arms with any French person who wishes and for the first time in my life sing the Le Marseillaise as well as the National Anthem (and then hope we beat the crap out of the French in the 6 Nations)
Vive La France
You might get a larger response if you get an op to flip this into the "let's talk about sex" forum.
or maybe Dee has come up trumps for you!
Think Dee must have a very big little black book lol

1 million copies of Charlie Hebdo will be printed for circulation next Wednesday.
I hope they will be available in the UK and that you will show some solidarity by buying a copy.
I'll be getting my copy here in France whilst remembering those fine people who were butchered in cold blood a week earlier.

I will show my solidarity by not buying a copy! Let me explain.
I find much satire to be the preserve of a very clicky set, it is produced by the sudo intelligent for the sudo intelligent. It is never positive and always seeks to poke a withering finger at others. I reserve the right to continue to find much satire quite repulsive and I reserve the right not to purchase something I don’t like.
That said, I have no problem in such magazines existing or indeed people enjoying the content. I would fight for my right to be satirised by such publications as it is there right in a free society to do this. I would fight for their right to satirise me and not feel threatened in doing so.
This is what a free and democratic society should be! To be able to talk openly and freely about grievances without fear or favour. To openly criticise without fear of retribution. Through this, consensus is found and a common aim identified.
In my view, the people who planned, organised and ultimately undertook this barbaric act should be deemed unfit to remain part of the human race. To excuse their actions by the use of religion does nothing but insult all who follow a religion. This was not done for the glory of god, it was done for the glory of a few individuals who will give their own lives to stop us leading ours the way we want to.
I will stand up for the right to publish satirical magazines and for my right to criticise there content.

To be fair it doesn't seem to me that the Tories are doing anything different to wht they have done before. It certainly isn't some sort of clandestine manifesto promise that no one suspected.
Let's also remember that they didn't want the hunting ban in the first place.
It's the same commitement as they made in their manifesto for the GE of 2005 and 2010. And despite winning in 2010 they haven't done a days work towards repealing the Act, so I'm afraid sensationalist headlines do not change my opinion that this Act will remain as statute.

Not quite so sure about that Trev..
Firstly, there's a bunch of Scottish Labour MPs voting in the English Parliament currently which makes it not quite so certain the Tories would win the vote.
Secondly, the presence of a significant number of left handed shakers in the coalition gives party planners the jitters.
English votes for English MPs in the next parliament (assuming Cameron's fortunes hold) and the left handed deposit loosing shakers burned at the stake might make matters a little more certain.
What's a left handed shaker? I was in the scouts and scouts shake hands left handed.
How about;-
The Hole In One
The Sioux King and Firkin
The Tree Fellers (more of a gay bar but open to swingers)
The undertakers (more for necrophiliac’s and I Have heard it is dead boring!)
A Swing and a Prayer (religious swinger’s pub)
When my eldest son was very young, we went to a restaurant that used to be a dairy farm. He got bored so I took him outside for a bit of fresh air. I noticed that by the wall was a raised platform and remembering from my youth the milk being collected from farms in milk churns I told him about the process of delivering milk to the dairy in the “old days”
At that moment the owner came out and I said to him proudly “just explaining to my son about how milk was collected! Am I right in thinking that platform is where the churns would go?”
The crushing reply came back “Na mate! It’s where we keep the bins”

What would you put in a fellow SH members stocking and why?????
I would put a bit of coal in Jaynlin's stocking because I know they like it hot innocent

We always answer genuine people who have read our profile even if we don't think we want to meet the peeps who have messaged us. We are always polite, just because we are not compatible does not mean we would be rude or ignore them! and why should they expect that kind of treatment.
However, if people have obviously not read our profile or just send the standard one liner (I am close, want to meet?) they get the standard thanks but no thanks.
We have only ever blocked one person. He sent 2 one liners which we answered thanks but no thanks. The third request was a little annoying so we sent a message explaining why we didn't want to meet but undeterred he sent a forth so we blocked him without reply!
I am having a crap day, think if I saw those lights at Kat ' s neighbours on my way home it would cheer me up! Lets face it,they are OTT but so what? At least you don't have to pay the leccy bill.

So many choices on who not to vote for....Eeeny meeny ..
But anyway, Nigel Farage has a nice tie so he has my vote.

If we judge suitability to lead on the standard of a man's tie then I should go into politics! I have some lovely ties. Can't help thinking it is a bit sexist though as most ladies don't feel comfortable in a tie. Although using the same theory,I always thought Condalisa Rice must have been a good politician as she always looked like she smelt lovely. Sadly Mr Farage does not look very fragrant and 2 hours after that photo was taken it was covered in beer and gravy stains lol

Now, That's the way to wear a tie... :rascal:
I stand corrected, more ladies in ties please.

One man in every one....can be found with their hand down their trousers scratching their balls on average 1294 times a day

By coincidence, trousers were invented in the year 1294 by a French man called Louis T'rouser.
The rump of the seats will be made up by the two main parties still but it will be fascinating how the the other parties do! All I would say about UKIP is I am old enough to remember when the SDP were going to re write the political rule book, they bombed at the general election. At the last election, the Liberal Democrats were looking like they would win between 90 and 100 seats. They actually lost seats.
The SNP could do very well and the Ulster Unionist vote is guaranteed, as is Sinn Fein (although they probably wont take up there seats. Add a Green Party MP, a couple of Plaid Cymru MPs and it could be the biggest party has to work with more than one other party.

It is a tax, just like a television license is a tax. No problem with profit, just I, along with others remember that once it was paid for it would be free. So promises were made that will not be honoured, what a suprise.

It's not a tax, it's a charge! You have a choice to use it and be charged or not use it! More roads should be subject to charges.
I might be wrong but the revenue from the "charge" goes into the the treasury pot along with income tax, the road fund license, fuel duty, duty on alcohol and tobacco and countless other ways that money is raised for the exchequer. No problem with that. But to be fair, if it looks like a tax and smells like a tax, it's a tax!
We seem to be behind the 8 ball in Britain when it comes to toll roads. If private companies invest in major civil construction projects then they are right to reap the rewards of there investment and I am a little bemused that so many people are so against it! It is not necessarily the governments job to build new roads. After all the canal system and the rail network were built with private money investing in the future. However the idea was that when the Dartford crossing was paid for, it would then be free to use. No amount of protest will change the governments mind about raising the charges on the crossing and I can see the argument that previous governments made promises that can not be kept today and they were irresponsible to make these promises that they were never going to have to implement.
What the current political class seem not to grasp is that all we want them to say is "we are in the brown sticky stuff up to our ears! we are trying to spread the pain but we need the money!"
On a personnel note, I will be sorry to see the booths go for an entirely different reason. I know it can be a pain sitting and waiting and a lot of bumps take place but it does thin the traffic down and slows it which when you go through the tunnel is not a bad thing.

We the Tax parer have paid for the crossing, pitty there is no way of having a machine that recognises UK registration plates and allow them through but stops foreign registration plates and makes them pay a toll. Probably some EU directive against that but wouldn't that give the British lorry driver a help against the foreign drivers and there cheap fuel?

Its not taxpayers its road users, big difference.
And why shouldn't they charge? The problem is wanting something for nothing, profit shouldnt be a dirty word in this country, but time and time again its used against companies.
