Hang on !!
Are you seriously saying that keeping a wild animal that roams around the neighbourhood torturing and killing other mammals while you are elsewhere is "morally" correct and that you have no responsibility because you can`t control it ???

And shitting without conscience in everyone's garden but their own ! CATS !! Yeeaargghhhh.......... Slimy, devious, four legged little cretins.
Can cats have a conscience?

A sweeping statement about fishing, i like fishing and do so for fun and for food, which has been done for 1000`s of years, it would be like me saying that all people who are pro hunters are moronic toffs with nothing better to do than shout "Tally ho" and charge around the fields with a pack of rabid dogs trying to catch a defenseless fox to shred to pieces all in the name of enjoyment, oh and before you say anything i was brought up on a farm in the Yorkshire Dales and still live there and not some city dweller who has never even seen a sheep or smelled the shit!

You get that close then...

With the constant homogenization of political parties in this country making it impossible to differentiate between them, it`s great to see somebody standing up for a bit of English culture. It is truly inspiring to see a Conservative leader speaking out in favour of a cultural minority !!
The current law is confusing and mostly unenforcable and criminalises law abiding citizens. It merely provides an outlet for unemployed townie busybodies with nothing better to do than sit in bushes spying on people going about their business.
No .... I`m not talking about that nasty barbaric passtime where people torture fish, sometimes for hours on end and then throw the injured animal back into the water or leave it to die a nasty death on the river bank......that`s still legal  !!!!!
I`m talking about hunting with dogs ......
Please note that it`s not illegal to own cats and allow them to indiscriminately hunt, torture and kill small mammals with no control, but taking out a controlled hunt with a specific aim, is illegal !! How weird is that ??
So big up to David Cameron .....well said that man

Oh no its bound to be the unvailing of an orange rose at Chelsea Flower Show that has petals that taste like Tango!!
The point is it will be bad for morale in the England dressing room (not so much Chelsea) of the England team half could be Terrys mates and team mates and the rest Wayne Bridges mates, as in all things in life sides will be taken an opinions spouted, this will inevitably cause a split in the dressing room,Terry the team captain will then not be able to raise morale as he is to blame for the said split.
England will then play far worse than normal, get knocked out of the world cup as normal, Terry will get the blame and end up an English hate figure like Beckham etc for a short while, the manager will get sacked and get shit loads of compo, the players will keep earning 120k a week to kick a bag of wind around a field and then the next overpaid over rated wind kicker will get caught with his dick inside something he should not be, or snorting aspirin off a hookers arse hole (or John Terry same thing as an arsehole)and then it all starts again.

the british and americans have frequently used false flag attacks as a means to carry out predatory wars. the military technique is as old as time. recently, gulf of tonkin incident-justification for the wholesale invasion of vietnam after the defeat of the french at dien ben foo. attack by the israelis on the uss liberty to blame the egyptians to justify military aid to israel.
the bottom line of operation northwoods, in 1962, was to fake terrorist attacks including blowing up commercial airplanes full of u.s. citizens and blame iraq, sorry, i mean cuba, to justify an american invasion of afghanistan, sorry, i meant cuba. AL QUEADA IN ARABIC MEANS DATA BASE. thats data base of the nujahadeen fighting the soviets in afghanistan led by OSAMA BIN LINER.
osama bin laden, that never ageing geezer who now claims responsibility for his martyr from nigeria in "his" latest video, "the underpants bomber" who boarded the detroit bound plane from schipol airport where body scanners were already in use, without a passport and claims westernised women bombers are being trained in the new "al quaeder hot spot" of yemen which the americans are now bombing with drones.
something tells me here, as everything above is in the public domain, that if you join the dots from 9/11, the death of dr. david kelly, the madrid train bombings, the 7/7 london bombings, charles de menzies, the mumbai attack, the shoe bomber, the underpants bomber and now the heightened alert of the potential bra bombers, something of the level of 9/11 is in the offing. with people waking up rapidly to such scams as global warming and carbon tax, swine flu and big pharma, bonuses for failed bankers and bullshit propaganda about green shoots, the heightened awareness of people will set back the plans of the next devastating war/invasion.
thank you blue for bringing this up as if i had done it, certain people on here would say its only conspiracy theory.

Eh?!?!?!?!? I am probably going to regret this but can someone please tell me how the swine flu was a scam, bearing in mind my Dad is a doctor, my partner a nurse and my brother in law a pharmacist....... should i be watching out and were they all in on it???
I don't think he has anything to be forgiven for. He along with America and most of Europe, allocated troops to remove with, most thought was a threat to the western world. He took decisions of what he thought was right. Thats what leaders do !! The fact that the aftermath has not been as easy as they had planned for....is what people are really complaining about. The biggest mistake and lesson to be learnt as he said himself, is that the after war planning, was inept !! Don't forget the people of this country that voted Tony Blair in three times !!![/quot
Very good reply Dean and well put, i agree with absolutely everything you say.

It has been on the news today that "punishment" attacks or "knee cappings" have increased in the past year in Ireland.
These attacks are apparently carried out by "terrorist groups" on people who have misbehaved within the community as a warning to them and the rest of the community.
Figures also show that the areas and communities where these "attacks" have been known to occur that crime is at a very very low level and in particular youth crime is nearly none existent.
Now call me heartless but to me this is a much better punishment for the "chavs" and youth of today than any ASBO and although extreme works well, and just proves that although less extreme the now long gone good telling off from the local bobby and a clip round the ear, instead of all this mamby pamby shit we have nowadays should have been left to carry on and then maybe "respect" would not be a "chav" tag line and Britain would not be as "broken"?
Cassie

So let me try and follow the logic of this. Places that have lots of brutal crimes which involve maiming people for life don't have lots of crime? How does that work then?
When you were doing this in-depth study of crime and punishment, did you happen to look at the mismatch between perceptions of crime and the level of crime?
Sorry away"withthefairies"man where did i say I had done an in depth study, although having read your posts i can actually see the benefits even more clearly of "punishment" attacks!!
Bring it on then.
"Bring it on then" let me get this right, you took the last comment as a threat? Do you often go challenging females to fight you and stand up to you? If so then Cassies post has just been shown to really have some worth to it and i too would support in your case "punishment" attacks!
I do not myself agree with what Cassie was trying to say about knee capping being a good idea, but i do agree with the "mamby pamby" ways we have now of not doing anything and just giving out a piece of paper as being total rubbish, a good stiff clip round the ear from the local bobby who was respected as a statue of authority undoubtably worked but thanks to the "social services molly coddle world" we now live in this has gone.
Lost i am sure it does scare the shit out of you and the threat and thought of it would probably scare the shit out of the little chav turds who roam our streets, mugging old ladies for cig money, or the youths who go round stabbing each other and any randoms they see fit.
Final note to Awayman you "bring it on" but i assure you you really would not want to do that with me!

Meanwhile back in the 21st century:
Every NHS trust has a procedure that enables staff to be paid when they cant get in cos of the weather. And many staff couldn't, certainly around here. So where do we stand on not paying nurses or does that only apply to nurses not the cleaners and does it apply to a consultant neurologist who CHOOSES to live on a farm half way up snowdon and could afford a flat next door to the hospital for the one or two days a year he needs to walk to work?
Wake up and smell the roses and stop spitting bile at wide groups of folk whose personal circumstances you cant even begin to understand given the undoubted bigotry and ignorance exhibited in these and countless other posts.

Well said that man, spoken like a guy who would make every effort to stay in bed rather than spend an extra hour getting to work in the snow when they can get paid to stay home.
Also never seen a farm house half way up Snowdon itself even though have walked it myself on every path wether it be the pyg, miners or many other routes available, oh and did Bangor and surrounding area really get that much snow cos my sister seems to have missed it, however she was busy working in Wrexham in a hospital and not looking out the windows!!!

So what are people supposed to do when the official advice is not to travel unless it is essential to do so.
I think that commerce and industry are robust enough to bare the costs.

So when is travel "essential" is it not essential that you get to work if you work in a supermarket say, but essential if you are a nurse as other people lives depend on you........ double standards?
Who actually decides what is "essential" oh i the lazy git who cant be arsed to go to work but can still make it to the bookies, or the shop or pub or go sledging.
I notice a little sub thread started about people should get paid if they can not get into work and that people should not take unnecessary risks to get to work etc so i ask you to consider this.
1)If a survey was done asking all employers in the country about who got to work and who did not, then it would show a massive per centage difference between those people who got paid and those who did not attending, is this down to loyalty or the fact that the people who do get paid think it is there right to have the time off and take the piss at there employers expense regardless of wether they can get in due to weather or they just fancy a day at the beach cos its sunny as has been shown in the past.
2) What if all the nurses and firemen etc took the opinion of why should i risk myself slipping and falling on the ice just to get to work, (i actually know of 1 nurse who worked a night shift and because the day staff were delayed worked on an extra 3 hours until they arrived) but wouldn`t we be in the shit if they shut up shop cos its too cold or snowy?!?!?
3) Just cos you have not seen a gritter does not mean it has not been there, these things do move you know and the grit only stays visible for a short length of time so just because you can not see it does not mean its not there, and again why is it too dangerous for some people to get to work yet they expect the council workers to be in "risking there lives" to grit roads and paths? last year i actually witnessed a gritting wagon go down an embankment and tip up because it skidded on the icy roads it was trying to grit.
4) As pointed out road grit is only at its optimum for upto 90 minutes after being spread, how many thousands of miles of roads are there in the Uk and how many gritters and drivers and loaders would be needed to grit all the roads all the time to stop people moaning that they have not seen a gritter in there area for the sake of maybe 4 weeks of weather every 2 years or so?
Alot of the comments regarding this are very selfcentered and the "why should i put myself out" aspect is very clear, yet the expectations of other people putting themselves out to make there lives easier are extremely high.
How many of these people who could not get to work because it was too dangerous then went out sledging, snow balling or just general messing about in this oh so dangerous weather!?!?
Its time people just got on with it and stopped moaning and stopped pointing the finger at other people because they have overly high and sometimes ridiculous expectations and are un willing to adjust there lives even slightly for a short period of time, as someone quoted the councils all had prior warning of the weather, well so did we, so get out of bed earlier and set off to work earlier, or stay with a work mate who lives nearer to work instead of expecting others to sort you out and make your life easier when you can not be arsed!!!
Nice post Kenty and welcome back you were missed!!
I must say i agree in most parts with your post especially the bit about the "softy South" it is very very noticable that the only time bad weather here in the North ever gets mentioned on the "main news" is when the South has got it too.
I live in the Yorkshire Dales in the middle of nowhere and have to travel 25 miles to work every day (new job now) and i must say that our local council guys have done a fantastic job both ploughing and gritting the roads and i have not missed a single day yet and nor have any of the 100+ staff i work with because of the snow.
Our gritters have got ploughs on the front and grit from the back but many of our roads are either too narrow to fit the plough or too narrow due to the "Range Rover Crew" that cant drive there 4x4 in any weather having dumped them at the side of the road!
My little ones school did close but because the heating was not good enough to raise the temp sufficiently after the nights had been -12 to -15 so understandable.
Our supermarket staff though because of where they are did struggle to fully staff as many of the checkout ladies are farmers wives etc who really and genuinely could not make although i did see one lady who works at the local co -op being dropped off on the back of a quad bike so good effort!

The coroners and justice bill, also the terrorism act, clearly does not scare you but it does me, and so does this government.
Almost 60 new powers contained in more than 25 Acts of Parliament have eroded the Human Rights Act and Magna Carta
I think we have to agree to disagree, you view it one way I see it another

Bluefish i do see your point but its a lose lose situation for any government, one minute they are slammed for taking away our "human rights" the next its being slammed for giving too many "human rights" whats the answer?
The human rights act if anything gives too many rights to the wrong people and as for the Magna Carta it served a purpose when it was written and agreed upon, but the human race has changed and evolved in so many ways that the Magna Carta is now so out of touch and out of date that some reforms have to come in and have.
This government may scare you but the next and the next wont be any different cos they are all in the politics game for there own end.
As for the bills and acts not scareing me, there is so much more in life that i find scary that affect my life day to day for real, that a few bits of paper that may or may not affect me in the future just cant and i rather be safe than maimed or dead.
I do however respect your discussion on this and have enjoyed reading your views on other posts and actually agreeing with you, even if i am "deluded".

Sadly you are deluded, no I do not wish to "prove it" to you, as I have seen that is just how the slanging matches start here and do not wish to get drawn into one. but if you care to research for your self you will see just how much of of liberty has been eroded by our government. Sadly they are rapidly undoing the very freedoms my father and Grandfather fought two world wars for.
I will give you one example; some self employed Lorrie drivers who wished to exercise there freedom to protest the tax increase on fuel. They were contacted during the planning of the event by police and told if they went ahead with there protest they would run the risk of being arrested under the prevention of terrorism act, this would be laughable if it was not so dam scary!!
How dare you insult me by calling me deluded just because i have a different opinion to you?
Dont even bother to preach to me about your father and grandfather fighting world wars for your freedom (i have more respect for those people than you can imagine) but some of us are doing that job just now and all we get is slated by many on here for it.
You are right however it is scary that the lorry drivers were threatened with prevention of terrorism act, cos i would not have warned them and done them for blocking a public highway!!
I do believe on another thread on here you are saying a planned demonstration at Wooton should be stopped, yet a demonstration by lorry drivers should not have been (apologies if i have mixed you up with someone else)? You dont wish to prove it cos you simply cant either way and i am still waiting for someone to tell me what freedoms i have lost since the world wars cos i have not missed them???
I take back the deluded as that was a little rude and was not my intention, as for the other thread I suggest you re-read what I wrote. I can see now why dangerous laws do not bother you now as you would be happy to miss us them your self
I keep asking you to actually back up your argument by giving me facts as i am struggling to see your point and you are not coming back with anything at all to even try to change my mind..... thought this was all part of a debate?
Which "dangerous laws" dont bother me? what have i missed please enlighten me so i can avoid these "dangerous laws", thank goodness i was taken in by the spin!!!

Yeah fair enough i can see you have nothing to give!!!
I thought we were talking about terrorists and how body scanners are bad, now your trying to tell me what???????? "the most fiercest natural disaster wouldn't sway your opinion" if its natural it has nothing to do with this topic?
I will however forgive you for having no point.

Right i quote " its about control plain and simple" what is?
How is a body scanner controlling us?
How are anti terrorist measures controlling us?
How does cctv control us (apart from making the crims and scallies think twice about the next crime they are gonna commit)?
Some of you are always spouting about how we are being controlled and ruled how exactly? Nothing has changed in my life in the last 10 years no one is controlling me i still go where i want with freedom, i still do what i want with freedom, i am still supporting who i want with freedom, saying what i want with freedom and no one is trying to stop me or control me to do otherwise cos i have a mind of my own and i am law abiding, ok i may be recorded doing it, so what i am still doing what i want when i want how i want and all legally, if i was doing it illegally and they catch me on cam then thats job done and i should not have been doing it in the first place.
What would happen if all the security measures and anti terror measures that are "controlling us" were removed? i sure dont want to be here to find out!!!
The body scanner may or may not have worked in this case but in how many other cases would it work and i am sure it will be adapted to show more now that the weaknesses have been shown up, or maybe if its not working and everything else is also a failure we should just bring in full strip search with internal inspection for everyone!!!!
I have a mind of my own and opinions of my own and even in the job i do i am only "controlled" by the rules and confines of that job, or are you suggesting we should not have any rules at all because they are controlling us, we need rules we need regulations and no matter what you think, and if we did not have them the place would be a much bigger mess than they are now!!
Now all i will add is i hope Kenty and Flower are back soon cos the place is dull without them, and this place needs livening up by people with opinions instead of the sheep who all form the same opinion and then systematically gang up on the one person who dares to question them.
Nah no spin i know it as fact and can you prove otherwise?
So GNV come on then you are always so anti government and anti this and that, you say there are so many better ways to stop the threats and terrorist attack (although it appears to me something must be working or else we would have had some more major incidents) let hear your fool proof ideas that are so much better for us????
Thought this was a discussion about body scanners but obviously i am mistaken, its a get at the governments for trying to keep us safe thread.
Of course those of you who think there is no threat will do so until you or a family member is maimed or killed in either a bombing or chemical attack, just because the so called terrorists have not managed to do anything thank god (or allah or whoever you follow) does not mean its not happening or going to happen, there is an awful lot our security prevent or stop that we will never know about.
In the last 10 years my life has not been changed just because of cctv or better security at airports or any other measures brought in to help look after us, all its meant is that i have to arrive a little earlier at an airport and as for cctv if your not doing anything you should not be doing then whys the worry??
Body scanners are a good idea and the only people who should be complaining about them are the people with bad intentions, so what if someone sees an outline of our naked bodies or even more detail, we are all the same to look at just some bigger or smaller we were all born naked and given the chance we would all get naked either with one person or a group for recreational purposes at the click of a finger.

Seriously consider it yes, actually vote for it no, a 30 per cent wage cut is better than the dole, having a job is better than having no job and striking in this case could seriously lose people their jobs as BA have to make savings to stay afloat.
