Guess i'll have to go for booby and wankoff fett - the well known double act, and appearing in a slightly dubious video shop near you soon!!!!
not owning a TV - i missed it
however my personal faves have to be saving private ryan, platoon, and blackhawk down.
Personally - i don't go for the brave and stupid kind of war films - all gung ho and back in time for tea and medals. I prefer mines to be almost shockingly realistic - after all if you are going to tell a story - tell it like it is!

Or you could be ultimately sad like I am and have both full sized, screen accurate, Darth Vader Helmet and stormtrooper helmets.

the above link goes to the site of the guy who makes the stormy helmets - he made the originals - so these are as close to originals as you can get..
I know - i used to have a life!!!!!

Can you put me down for a bag of Yorks mini peppermint patties ( or the new pebble ones - you'll know what i mean) and on a totally cheesy note - any chance of a little touristy small statue of liberty?

I have to admit that I'm one of the people who intially found you to be very intimidating on the forum, we spoke ever so briefly at the leicester munch, and it was there that i first saw who was underneath the "bitch" exterior - someone who was actually a sweety, and nice to talk to.
I then saw you ever so briefly again at the london munch this past weekend - although we never got the chance to talk this time.
Anyway - i'm soooo glad to see you dropping the "bitch" personna. Maybe next time i won't feel ever so slightly scared to come and chat.

If It's any consolation - I've had something similar happen to me at work. Someone managed to find my ad, and decided it would be great fun to lead me a merry dance - sending all manner of timewasting emails, text messages etc. As others have mentioned - It's mostly immaturity on their part, and the fact that they have no real grasp on the concept of this site, that makes them behave like this.
I know it's easy to say - but try not to stress it too much - ignore things, and once people realise you aren't biting - they'll probably get bored and go off and try and annoy someone else.
Keep your chin up

I wasn't being quiet - honest! Each time i opened my mouth to speak - i couldn't get a word in for your laughing Chardonnay lol
Anyway - It was great to meet everyone, and put faces to names - Three munches in almost as many weeks - and i'm pretty certain i'll have developed the art of conversation soon!
Thanks for the invite Mr and Mrs Genherts - it was a pleasure as always

So I guess all the Landscapes, Nature, music etc etc didn't really hel;p much when it came to pop-ups lol
If it's any help - I have a pop-up here that you are more than welcome to study - although i'm not really sure you'd get much inspiration from it redface

yea that place sounds very relaxing... I live the city of Bristol, nowt here but buildings to stare at.

strangely - even buildings sometimes work for me - ever stood somewhere like saint pauls cathedral and just STARED up and lost yourself?
I've also done the same staring up at the sky on a starry clear night.

on a serious note for ideas or for a chill out i visit here . just down from bradgate park in leic just a stones throw from me in the summer with a beautifull skyline sunset you cant beat this place. ok maybe theres better places, but for me its perfect .

see - i'm glad i'm not the only one - if i have time - i normally head off into the wilds of wales and do one of the peaks in snowdonia. Bloody hard work getting to the top ( but that in itself is therapeutic) but once you get to the top - well, words just fail to explain!
WOW
i have been officially hi-jacked - and by the gorgeous RHG no less

I have to agree - Music is the one thing that always re-inspires me! Either that or i'll take myself out somewhere quiet and beautiful for a walk.
hope this helps
biggrin
And in my haste to post a reply - I have made a grave error and neglected to make a thank you to one person in particular! redface
Essexlady - Thank you for ensuring i got an invite to this munch, and for thinking of me when you could quite as easily not have bothered!

I've just crawled out of my pit after catching up on the many hours of sleep I missed this weekend. But i'd Like to Say a huge thanks to Love commando and Sexysteph for organising an excellent mini munch. It was only my second one - but i'm beginning to get more and more relaxed in these events.
A few random individual thank you's
Steph - it only took a little over four years of chatting - but it was soooooo good to finally be able to put a face to a name.
The Essex Mafia ( or as they are now known - the Carpenters Tribute band!) Thanks for keeping me sane during the long and sleep deprived weekend!
Marmalaid - for being a true Gent and making sure RHG made it to the event, and also for driving Jucy to get Breakfast this morning
RHG - for the chat last night! I'm glad someone can see that contrary to appearances - I am actually coming out of my shell.
Tatty - for being tatty, and for embarrassing the hell out of me and woilfwhistling at blokes during the traffic jam on the m25 - did you notice how low i was sitting behind the steering wheel?
Jucy lucy.....or is it Rachel Lane? Only smarties have the answer! And thanks for breakfast this morning ( this editing is a lifesaver!!!! lmao)
Bi Welsh Minx - where did you say you were from again? lol
there were so many others I met for the first time last night, and I don't want to embarrass myself by failing to mention them! But for those who I spoke to - it was a pleasure. I'm really not a rude or stand offish person - Honest - I'm just really shy and not so good in big groups - especially after the week i've just had.
Heres to the next one

Helen
I've put my name down for the munch in the evening - but was wondering if it would also be possible to put my name down for this as well.
thanks
kbuk
Hiya
Can I add my name to the list - I'm a single guy - but i've been on here a while ( although i'm not a huge poster) There are a few peeps on here who should be avle to vouch for me as being in possesion of my marbles, and i Broke my Munch cherry last weekend.
Cheers

Big Hugs to you hon - and long may it continue
I only dream of reaching the lofty heights of 1000 posts - but i seem to have this uncanny knack of killing any thread i put my name or comments to! lol
Oh well
Heres to a 1000 more

I know I'm one of the quieter posters on the forum, and this request might possibly be in the wrong place - but i'm fast running out of ideas.
My dad died last wednesday  , and I'm currently compiling some music to play at his funeral on the 22nd. I've hit a stumbling block with one of the songs i'm looking for, and it is here where i need some help.
Does anyone here have an MP3 of I was born under a wandering star by Lee Marvin - from the film paint your wagon. If so - please drop me a PM or email - I'd be forever in your debt .
Thanks for indulging me
