If I don't get enough sleep im a stroppy cow. I I need 8-9 hours a night although I rarely get enough....
I think I have added us to the events page. Will confirm once I have spoken to the Mr.

I chose my avatar because when I saw it I couldn't look at it without feeling my eyes were doing backflips, yet kept getting drawn back. It is fascinating how the addition of a set of eyes and a mouth make you feel dizzy/drunk when you look at it. Maybe that is a reflection of me, you'd have to ask someone who knows me.

Unfortunately yours makes me feel queezy so I can't really read anything that you write confused .
Mine is me.
This will get more attention in the lets meet up. I'm sure a kindly mod will move it for you. biggrin
I'm away that weekend :bounce: but i'm definately up for flicking switches :rascal:
Boot fairs are not for me but as they say "one mans junk is another mans treasure".
My friend swears by them. I prefer charity shops.
My best friend married four years ago after nine years and three children together. She has never changed her name she still calls herself Miss. She is the only one with a different surname in their house.
I changed my name when I married last year as I wanted our family to all have the same surname. I know its not a big issue to everyone but I wanted our family to be seen as a unit.
My nan and gramps have been married for 52 years today :rose:
Mine expires next year. Mr Lyns still has his paper one, stuck together with a mound of sellotape.
I think it is the fear for alot of people. Especially if you have children as you will always have a connection with that person you can't just disapeer forever.
When I was growing up my dad used to hit my mum. I wonder if in some strange way my sister thought it was the norm to be beaten by your partner dunno
My sister was beaten by her then boyfriend for all the time that sh was with him. Why did she stay? she loved him and he made her believe it was her fault. It wore on her self esteem and then felt worthless.
As a family we all knew what was happening and short of locking her away forever we were powerless to stop it. She rang my pops one night screaming for help, when my dad got there she begged him not to hit the boyfriend. My dad said to this day he doesn't know how he left her there but what choice did he have, he didn't want her to completly alienate her self from us all so he did as she asked.
It took him smashing her head into a wall and knocking her front tooth out and bruising her eye from her eyebrow to the bottom of her cheekbone whilsh their 6 week old baby was sleeping in the other room before she finally had the courage to leave him. He was charged and had to pay her over a grand in compensation.
The bigger picture tho as a family we were able to sleep again at night and not worry we were going to have the police at the door saying she was dead.
Unless you have been in the situation I think its really difficult to say what you would do.
Did you know domestic violence often starts of worsens during pregnancy?
For anyone that needs it

I don't really plan anything!. Neither of my children were planned. The only thing I have actively planned was our wedding.
I do however now have a plan for my career. Its only being planned though as there are certain steps that I have to take in order to get the job I want ie go to uni... lol
I am so impatient, I check constantly untill its read. Then check constantly until a reply comes lol
This one. For no real reason I just think its a beautiful song.
Red and yellow and pink and green Purple and orange and blue I can sing a rainbow.... :karaoke:
Boney, I have no advice for you at all but just wanted to say I think your children are incredibly lucky to have you and the Mr for parents kiss

Well, it looks like I'm not as out of kilter as I was lead to believe! Has no one on this site had them done?
Thanks all for your replies

My stepmum had all of her girls ears pierced between the ages of 6 and 12 weeks .
Her children have gone on to do the same .
I really don't get it. To me its like child abuse, what sane parent would willingly want to inflict pain on their baby/young child ? dunno
No I wouldn't. I think it looks cheap and tacky. The child has to decide that he/she wants it done for themselves.
Our nearly 6 year old wanted it done 2 years ago, once we had told her that it would hurt she went completley off the idea.

worlass is moving in today- full time. I am grinning like an idiot. Although where we are going to put her 23 boxes of black and white shirts I have no idea.
I am still excited though :bounce:

:bounce: I'm excited for you :bounce: Enjoy kiss
My girls haven't even noticed and if they have they haven't asked about it. But i'm sure the eldest will as she is very inquisitive. I will explain it to her the best I can as i'm unsure as to why the lady in question has half her arm missing.
I can't believe that people would be so narrow minded to complain.

If Jade Goody gets her finger out we can have a national day of mourning.

Oh dear the tast-o-meter of this site just went down a rung or two.
I think that's just about the most tasteless thing I've seen on SH.
Ben - if you decide to edit out your original post I'll happily delete this quote.
.
one persons tasteless is another persons funny
freedom of speech n all that old boy
I find nothing funny about a 27 year old mother of two dying and leaving her children regardless of their place in society.
Your post is as bad as his. You should be ashamed.
in your opinion!
Yep

Like DG I like freedom of speech, when it's in it's right place.
I find jokes about urging someone one to die very distasteful indeed, someone tell me where's the humour in that?? dunno
I'm on the wrong planet, clearly.

Me and you both sweet.
kiss first spaceship out of here ok??
Yep don't forget the rum...
