Following on from Kaznkev's post how well do you know others ...it made me contemplate the saying ..."If we could see ourselves as others see us"
So based on SH experiences be they ..forum posts, chat room contact , munches. or meets how do you perceive the person above.
As it's customary for the thread starter to give his /her own opinion first I will start and as I have no one above I will comment on one of my favorite posters LPRO
LP/RO( from forum posts only) I find to be...Abstract,Off the wall,Amusing(extremely),Refreshing,Someone I would love to converse with, Needy, Genuine.
Make of that what you want ...I hope this thread may open the door to our understanding of ourselves and thus it demands honest perceptions from us all.
Be aware that perceptions can only be as accurate as the amount of contact that individuals have had with one another.

Well I was struggling to think of a Brand for Wolverhampton until the beer drinker in me shouted Banks'
Banks being the only brewery left in the town now. Not sure the word Banks is a good one to be associated with these days

Bankers don't go on strike every 2 minutes......

"Sigh" if only they had have done.
Thankyou again Try for organising a great night and thanks to midsprincess for the scrummy food. The Samosa's went down particularly I do recall the red cabbage repeating much much later. lol
It was lovely to meet some people I haven't met before and to see some I haven't seen for a long time. I was made to feel most welcome and felt a general warmth throughout the group which is testament to all those who attended. I would particularly like to thank the lady that sorted out my extremely cold nipples and am only sorry I didn't get the chance to reciprocate.
To the ultra straight guy that decided he could best demonstrate the point he was trying to make to a lovely lady, by kissing me! ...I do find words so much more effective in getting ones point over
To the ladies of swinging heaven ...wow what an incredibly sexy lot you are.
I knew my night was done when I found myself falling asleep on the loo...not something you want to do especially when 's my limit at my age blink
Am with Sassy on Casablanca a real classic film.
When I was a kid I recall seeing Zulu on the big screen and not knowing the story the end was just amazing and such a spectacle.
How about a spaghetti western for a change The good the Bad and the Ugly ahhh ahhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhh wahhh wahhh wahhhhhhhhhh
I think I tend to have one eye on the future and try to make sure I don't do anything too stupid that would present unnecessary problems further down the tracks. I don't plan for it as such just make sure my decisions are consistent with my expectations of the environment I will find myself living in.
Apart from that I try to focus on the now and as I get older I more and more observe my adopted signature ....Regret what you do not what you didn't do wink
I have seen a front page headline set for tomorrows papers whereby a chairman(I Think)of one of the big banks(barclays? ...I'm guessing)Says we have returned massive profits increases for gods sake get off our backs.
I am almost ...yeah almost ...speechless.
I have said before they just don't get it do they ...and yet again I have to say THEY JUST DON'T BLOODY GET IT.
Inflation is rising (and we have yet to see if this gets affected by quantitative easing and rises yet further)
Unemployment is rising and will get much worse after the election
Savings are dwindling and attracting paltry interest rates.
Lending at reasonable interest rates is next to impossible to get...for individuals and even worse for small businesses.
...so what do the banks do for our economy ...raise the interest on credit cards to an obscene 18%. Now tell me which sector of our society is that going to hit the hardest?
I cut my credit card up 20 years ago so I am one of the lucky ones but I feel for those who have had little choice but to resort to thses as means of survival.
I feel so strongly about this corporate avarice and stupidity I feel like starting a peoples bank ....
I am sorry Deano I have to disagree with you. He has a lot to be sorry for. He made commitments to the USA to take this country to war without any consultation with this countries parliament. He deliberately and wickedly misled, at best, and at worst lied to the country and parliament. He failed appallingly to forsee or plan for the consequences of his actions for a man of such so called intelligence he was either negligent or callous beyond words.

Now my knowledge of economics extends to being able to put the names to the abbreviations in gulson's post but my head gets fried by monetary theory and M1 thro M4.
Wasn't the function of quantitative easing not just to prevent insolvency but also to free up credit for lending and thus stimulating the economy in which case it would affect the money supply albeit M3(or 4 or 2 or whichever one it is lol). I am led to believe it's failing thus far because those naughty have banks kept it all on their balance sheets to meet enhanced solvency/liquidity ratios(i think)
Oh and with regard to the national debt I heard a statistic on TV that said the uk has the same proportion of debt to GDP as Greece and they have just had to have an emergency Austerity budget including mandatory cuts of 10% in public services...
Are we getting a feel for things yet ??

I remember the days when I could make my trouser waistband rise by 7 inches without me getting very much older at all.
Alas those days are long gone now.

has it ever crossed either of your minds that not all is how it seems?

It has crossed my mind for a long time.
Hijack over.
I really struggle with the issue of class. Class was I guess originally based on the feudal hierarchies where upper class referred to the landed nobilities and middle class being those who exist between the nobility and the peasants working on the land. Society evolved and class distinctions were defined by the constraints, priveledges or opportunities afforded to each group, attitudes being formed by the plight or pleasures of one's self proclaimed upper class preserving their self anointed status by monopolisation of power by control of the capital and the mercenary forces at their command. Today the so called upper class still has control of the capital and uses it to preserve and maintain their elitism (in their eyes).Education, hard work, and innate intellect have allowed many to aquire their own share of capital and thus aspire to the notional and artificial rise up the class ladder.
I can not reconcile myself to accepting the usual terminology of upper, middle, working 's an outmoded and pointless social division.
One thing I can say though is that whatever strata of society you wish to examine each has it's share of saints and arseholes.
Oh and the pale skinned tattooed guy and gal just may have more real class in their little fingers than some people in this world ...and that's using the word the only sense it should be used.
Besides Gordy Brown's going to hit the middle classes with the burden for sorting out the national debt....just as soon as he's finished being nice to them and after the election. To facilitate that he's addressing the social divide by replacing the term "working class" and you are heretofore to be known as middle class so now he can tax the hell out of you middle class bastards.

Look I did once approach a bloke at a club and said to him " I think you are fit I would shag you" and then I walked off and didnt do him lol

Sorry Corrie didn't I tell you I have a hearing impairment that makes it difficult to hear when there's loud background noise wink
I have met the dear lady and shared a dance or two with her at a social and I can testify what a lovely sensitive, caring and principled person she is.
They say opposites attract Brucie lol
Oh fuck! I've just had one of those shockingly awful moments of realisation.
I have had sex with someone I don't fancy, in fact, I am do it almost every night:scared:
What a complete wanker I am .
I gather there is a group of surgeons who have disputed the medical facts reported in the Hutton Inqury and are calling for a proper inquest in this matter. More power to them I say.
Oh and don't expect anything of any substance to emerge from Chilcott in the main their interrogation has been weaker than a watered down water. Indeed Charles Kelly could have been a fundamental part of the inquiry but Chilcott stated he didn't want to touch on that subject again.
Maybe sometimes life's dynamics can lead you into actions that you don't necessarily understand or agree with but find yourself doing anyway.
But if I was to sum up my view I'd have to agree with DG

Why would you? dunno

I would love to ask this question to the ladies I overheard.
Corrie how lovely to see you back again...and you do have a cute ass ....with or without toilet paper.
Ok I'm a little pissed but bear with me .
Up the pub tonight, alas on my own, and I happened to overhear three very(increasing to stunningly with every extra pint ) attractive ladies chatting. As is , I believe, the norm for women , their conversation turned to sex.
What amazed me is I overheard two of them admit to having sex with guys they didn't actually fancy as they just found themselves in situations where sex was the natural or expected outcome of the evening.
I know it's a very small sample size(yes a lot of women use that expression with me too )but is this really true.....so...
as a woman ...or a man ...have you found yourself having sex with someone you didnt fancy and you just did it because it seemed easier than not doing it.!
On my part I can't say I have ...I doubt I'd get a hard on with a woman I didn't fancy ...strangley as I have typed that I so realise that's not true ...there have been women who have been hot as hell albeit not physically conforming to my ideal. However I know that if I found myself in a position with a lady where there was no sexual chemistry I just wouldn't come up to the mark.
Tis oft said the best part of a row is the making up.
I would love to see the making up of two sexy women on here ...I do so wish to see two sexy women getting it on before I die .....sadly I think I may well be disappointed here ....yet again!!!!!
