If they dont rip off single guys using the pretence of "its to keep the numbers of members balanced" like every other fecking club in the UK, then if anyone finds out if this club really does exist then I'd love the details...
BDSM clubs in the UK on the whole charge by head... some with membership some without, but tend to charge equally to all members with no thought to sex...
Only swingers clubs seem to get away with charging males far more than any other designation... and then wonder why attendies have an atitude of "i've paid, I want it..." Every BDSM club and event i've attended has far more of a no means no attitude than any swingers club i've attended as everyone from male, female, single, couple, TV, TS etc. is treated as equal and no one is treated as the cash cow that "swingers" clubs do.

The last page number is coming up with "no posts exist for this topic."
So if a thread has 2 pages, then page 2 issues the above error message.
Its not however happening consistantly... so might be if a thread has one "next page" count and not if it has more than one...
Please feel free to lock if this is due to some updates happening at 4:52am
also not getting any thread email notifications at all... and no they are not in the spam... my "new email" notifications go there, lol.

Seriously, I've done my best to make constructive criticisms and open a dialogue with the new owners, but when 80% of users call the changes 'a bad dream they want to wake up from', isn't it time to cut your losses and retrace your steps?
I don't want SH to die, but frankly, I'm beginning to despair.
I think it will all get there in the end... and has anyone of us over the age of 20 not seen a "new broom" aproach when a company has been taken over, or a new manager apointed to a department?
(interjecting a side note... in a web world "members" is the most important figure in the world... merging the three areas of this site into one shows 362,051 members so high numbers even if the reality is that there is only 2,000 real members... thats why NTL is upping the bandwith all the time for users... to show big numbers using it all, and not spare capacity as investers see that as waste and stock market listings plumet)
I'm not going to have a guess at what mark was paid... but the investment in this site with changes is probably between 20 and 100K so far for man hours... and will probably cost about 100 to 250K+ over the next 2 to 6 months if not far more.
Mark, un-costed, probably put into this site close to a million pounds if not way way more... all done for the love and not the money.
My own site cost me nothing apart from my time... I even work with models on a barter system of TFP but in reality it probably equates to nearly 300K of costed input with a real cost of about 1,500 pounds for my camera and flash... the rest is done for love of what I do and an ocasional bit of beer money (why I will die poor and my son will inherit the works of a poor artist, lol)

I hope you'll take this as a constructive suggestion for the future instead of a personal attack, but frankly, I'm flabbergasted by the lack of beta testing here.
The community here really wants SH to work, I'm sure if you asked for a team of literate, experienced beta testers willing to put thousands of man hours into testing the changes before they went live, we could have provided you with that quickly, efficiently and free of charge. You would have been saved all this panic patching up a live system, the arduous task of picking real bug reports out of the groundswill of ill-feeling, and the financial loss caused by people leaving because they find the bugs unacceptable.
Maybe this is a suggestion you could pass up the management chain?
Like most things... its a question of cost....
Admittedly a new beta site name would have cost next to nothing... but i'm guessing they host the websites themselves on a commited server... so say 1-4K cost... and add onto that the staff that might be working on the site, so better to go live with the minimal of testing and let the users load test than have a beta site thats in development for 1 to 2 man years, as the prior visably costs say 25 to 90K and the latter 80 to 270K with no apparent return on investment.
I used to work in IT and the management ethos was... if it was rolled out it was paying its way (even with in-house) if it was still in development and testing then it was an expense...
The reality was that both equate to about the same cost over time... but one starts to see a ROI much earlier.

Funny thing here...
On the pictures of me there has been over 200 views on most of them but on the picture with just Tony on it has only been viewed 2 times and now i keep winding him up about it :lol: :lol:
Awwww poor fella, well one of them was my view :lol: as I thought I reconised him :shock: (In a nice way... before you get all paranoid ;-)) you reminded me of a couple i've seen a couple of times at a lush love event and as women tend to chance looks and styles and clothes and makeup... men tend to remain fairly consistant looking all the time, especially facially... unless they are TV's in which case I tend to end up seriously confused when i'm talking on the phone as I never know which persona i'm talking to!

As I went to purchase some beer from tescos....
I looked up at the sky and thought, that looks bright... I wonder if the moon reflects all the light from the sun so could you sun tan in the moon light despite its smaller size relative to the sun and the earth.
After inbribing the beers I was thinking about taking a few photos of the super bright moon... then decided it was to cold and my f-stops/seconds would take to long to work out with the relationship to the transversal rotation of the earth so went to bed lol

With the old system it was reasonably obvious that if 40 adds were from "women seeking men" then it meant "this section is for women who are looking for men so only women can post" but with the hickup and loads of newbes then "women seeking men" could be read as "this section is where women looking for men should look at the postings by men"
Mind you... there will always be twats (and I use that term with predjudice and malace a fore thought) who dont bother doing a brief check of the sections to gleam an inkling into what the sections mean.
Hopefully the system will eventually prevent adverts in sections that the profile selection is not allowed in... which bar the fakers will save the mods a heck of a lot of time and effort.

I used to have 4 piercings... 2 ampalangs and 2 apadavras.
As to weither they were liked or not... it varied with who I was with, from love it to hate it, generally they were liked, but my ex wife when we were together hated my first piercing... so I did 3 more because I WANTED TO, and also for loads of psycobabble reasons about reclaiming my self identity! lol

I've noticed if you dont have an advert (which shows the post ocde) and tick "Allow pthers to calculate distance from me=NO" it seems that you are still included in the distance calculations on the "my search" even though the list comes up as "N/A" in the distance column.
When you click on a profile then you get a translated location based on the users selected options (post code, town, area)
I may be wrong, but that seems to be what happens....
The advert pages obviously need some more code to translate postcode to location/area/etc based on the users selections.
What this does mean is that it shouldnt be possible to triangulate the post ocde any closer than within 5 miles but you would first need to do some fairly detailed searching to find a 5 mile ring (within/without the under x miles) then repeat this using other post codes to create a group of rings and then finally work out the intersection...
Assuming someone has not used their real name it would still be impossible to then find more details about the person.
Even with a given mileage its still not that easy to triangulate using post codes unless in a very under populated area as most post codes cover a very large physical area, or a small area with a large populus. DE7 (mine) covers a multitude of places in derby... like wise NG1 covers a huge number of streets in Nottingham.... its hardly pinpoint accuracy.

Arrrrr, but there in lies the rub.... they might not be newbies as using the common log in system they may have been in the adverts section for years and now have been added to the forum as a bi-product, like wise forum only users are now part of the advert system.

I'm sure most problems will be sorted over time... But hey, us lot do like to moan ;-)
I'm guessing a lot of the problems visually are caused by years of hacking the original standard forum software and half inching it into the layout using CSS (bloody evil they are... bring back standard HTML and tables, lol) as "orums" is still dark blue, lol.
My adverts had "expired" so i'll probably just leave them as I cant be arsed to log in to copy them into this "global" profile.
I'm sure once the major problems have been sorted then things like advert searches could also be made to be exclusive so that scanning profiles where a profile isnt looking for your "type" are excluded... or better still allow them to be included but have a big red "not looking for you" flag because I've made some great friends in the past which I would not have had I never seen their profiles, perhaps an optional "looking for (your profile type) only" that is set by default.
I'd also suggest moving the "user menu" over to the left so that the main section of the screen is not being compressed by two menus on either side.
I'm susre the search thing age wise is due to copying standard code from another system and is un-intended for this type of site... although its rather bad foresite... perhaps someone should have set up a test system, made the changes, and then copied the DB over once the new site was finished.... that said, i used to work in IT and I know what a bitch it is when things have to go live even if not fully tested (or even needed) because its required by the managment to prove investment to the outside world.
I just hope that these changes when fully implimented and working DONT turn this site into what DD's and D&M's have become... totaly no-comunity no real advertisers, crap.

I dont even get to see the thumbs as it comes up "click to view photo...." which i'm assuming is a site thing that runs for non standard formats (not jpg) or is presented when the system is creating thumbs from the original posted photos.
i've just pm'd st3v3 with some adds showing the problem to make sure its not a case of ntl or my set up causing the problems....
Hopefully i'll be wanking over the mucky pics soon ;-) :-) :-P

I tried to log in to my photo ads account last night and couldn't.
After trying all the passwords I could remember, I emailed 'can't remember password'.
My password for forums is the the same as my password for photo ads. :shock:

excluding the usual kebab with extra hot makes you sweat as you eat it kebab.....
Tescos value instant noodles....
Take 3 packets (dont matter what flavour just as long as at least 2 are different)
follow instructions nearly....
After adding boiled water... apply arromat and leeNperrins (add to taste) and a pinch of cayenne pepper and mix in, place in microwave and cook for half the time, remove and add grated cheese and mix... place back in M-wave and cook for original cooking time... remove and allow to stand for 30 seconds then munch down....

If he knows your number then you cant be anonimious (unless there is a web system that will text? or you get a second sim card) as texts cant be sent without the phone number (as far as i'm aware)
Personally I would not swing with a "friend/s" as if things later change then you loose the friend/s, or if they are not interested again you loose a friend or things get told to others and unless you're out as a swinger suddenly the whole world knows...
Your "senario" falls down (bar the first paragraph) at the point you have to declair who you are... how do you know if he gets a text and even though not in the slitest bit interested in a real 3some just goes along with the fantisy for a laugh and then when you come out with who you are he goes "oh fuck me... dirty gits" or somesuch....

I thought the date was earlier than that as daytime tv (No I dont really watch it ;-)) had had a couple whos "marage" was booked to be the first... asuming they finish before everyone else does (now theres and double entundre if ever there was)
To be honest, its about time same sex relationships were recognised especially with reguard to pensions and property rights etc.
(as some one who neither believes nor disbilieves in god etc....) but using the "sancity of marage" as meaning nothing more than a comitment of 2 people and also the joining of two disparit finantial persons (lets face it marrage and liniage was all about inhearitance) marage has never been about "blood lines" its always been about who gets what when/if kids come along and the parents die and land owership.
thats not to say I dont think that people can't make a public comitment to each other... I just dont think that religion has any true conection to marage

The problem is the clothing for guys is either leather trousers, top, waistcoat for "tops" or stuff with steel rings and leather attatchments for tops and bottoms or "chaps" and while i think chaps look great on a woman they look so daft on a bloke, lol.... then again its the same for the non-fetish scene... suit and tie, or metro-sexual, or jeans and t-shirt... while for women theres thousands of options and variations in both the normal, night club, fetish, bdsm scenes...

No there are things that should be banned... and there are some sick sites out there... the problem I have is images of concent within a "bdsm" (its not even really about that) being legislated against viewing and even titilating "necrophilla" images being included... theres nothing sexier than a cute goth in a bath of blood with her nipples showing, lol.
I've not included it in the other post, but there are also a lot of films that are well renouned that technically are included in this new law... such as the one of with the scene with her from the silence of the lambs, also any film (good or bad) with vampires, also all the films that were baned then un-baned such as texas chain saw masacare (theres a semi naked woman) and so on... its a badly worded law and should not be allowed on the statue books.
