Well I did volunteer to become an op as I have loads of free time on my hands, but was turned down on the grounds that Im not well enough known

well thats strange because ive very recently seen two new ops that ive never heard of before and ive been here a while. ive certainly seen you about tho. i wonder who makes the judgement as to wether someone is well known enough? and is that a good basis for giving someone the job?
you all do know that saddlehugger started this thread back in 2005 dont you? right?
i used to work for banardos, an oganisation that has minimal advertising compared to something like NSPCC (banardos does so little advertising that most people think they still have orphanages...despite a rebranding years ago...) however, banardos have twice as many actual projects running for children, families and young people that the NSPCC does (to my knowledge) as they prefer to spend thier money on services.
i dont respond to the kind of advertising were talking about here, i give when i can.

Anyway Shaz you should be too busy looking after Josh and Freddie to chuckle at my expense, take care....GW

Josh and Freddie?
i think hes saying you look like claire off coronation street lol
thats why we have a private gallery...so you can choose who you show them to...isnt it?
is there a gender difference flower? ive recently lost 5 stone and although all my female friends are like "wow you look great how much have you lost now?" and can totally see it on me.....male friends and colleagues are just kinda looking at me a bit puzzled and going..."have you had your hair done.....?" lol
dizzy_donna, i totally agree with you kiss although, ive never been a beleiver in "fat and happy"..."fat and ok" maybe lol i wasnt totally unhappy 5 stone ago....but im more than happy now smile
with regard to giving blood...i was under the impression that you are unable to participate if you have had sex with a gay or bisexual man, protected or not? im not saying that i agree with it but are there questions around whether heterosexual people who are in long term monogomous relationships or are single and celibate are the only people who can donate blood? as people who engage in recreational sex, can any of us say for definite that we have not had sex with a man whos had sex with a man...whether we knew it or not?
just pondering smile
ive never given blood, im too chicken. i do however go to my local GUM clinic every 6 months.

fair enough, I believe ya
funny how i had two mails from somebody advertising a rival site and they disappeared half hour later. It's a conspiracy i tells ya lol

they would be classed as spam and reasons why/how they may be deleted are covered by dawnie a few posts back
i didnt get a pm with details sad but i cant come now anyway so thats ok :P
have a good day everyone
keep it...its the best place to find out whos pissed off at who, whos flouncing and whos having a dig at who in the shortest time rolleyes
only last night i was told i was "up myself" by one bloke and another left the room only to come back and say "oh its still here is it...." all because id had the audacity to say i wasnt interested in them. how very dare i rolleyes
before i moved to yorkshire id never heard anyone use the word in liverpool. its really common place here and i do use it occasionally, even affectionately lol
on the other hand i am more likey to use it when referring to someone i dislike ie "the poisonous little c***". its very satisfying in that way :P
in terms of it being offensive...just the word doesnt offfend me at all, how its used might tho. im with the vagina monologues, lets reclaim it biggrin
id be much more offended if i was called a slag to be honest....alot of peole get off on that and i dont get it dunno
to be honest i wouldnt bother continuing to talk to them after treatment like that!
hope you all have a great time  while im at home suffereing with this horrendous tonsilitis sad
lol
really tho, im sure it will be a great night, enjoy :P
i started thread about this a little while ago that got locked for some reason. i report abuse whether its to me or another person. what worries me is the people who are quiet and sly and slip through the net dunno
i dont frequent the chat room alot thse days coz i just got tired of it to be honest, i admire the chat ops for the work that they do.
another worry is that so many people dont seem to even be aware that they can report abuse and just put up with it.
amazing, isnt it? no matter the size, shape and percieved beauty, its rare that any of us women are happy with our bodies.
i might be going off topic a bit here (please bear with me, i think i may have tonsilits induced psychosis) but i recently read a post by naughtynymphos that struck a chord with me, on the boobs thread. i wont quote it but i think the basic message was - the notion that somone can be willing to play with a person who appears to be "below" the "standards" that they set for themselves in terms of thier body shape, and how that balances up? also that for every woman who has a problem with her body there is another woman who beleives she is bigger, smaller, wonkier or wider than her.... thinking "ungrateful cow" lol
personally i dont believe you are fat and need to diet kate, but i do believe that if you feel uncomfortable then you have the right to do something about it. i also believe tho, at your size, that can be done in a sensible and healthy way rather than some maple syrup fad rolleyes for an actual fat person, such as me, its not quite as easy as that, having ten stone to lose is no easy journey.
i know you wanted this thread to be about that particular diet rather than comments personal to you but i hope youre not offended. its certainly not my intention. i just thought you would welcome the input from an actual fat person!
in saying all that im by no means fat and happy, ive struggled long term with my weight as you know. but i also know that you do not look at me and instantly think "fat". ive managed to lose 3 stone this year and im feeling happier and healthier than ever.....however, i have alot to lose, probably a whole you  and if i was invited to be a bridesmaid this year then i would still be a fat one, and its not all that bad dunno
good luck with whatever method you choose to loose weight and im sure it will only increase your confidence and health, as we already know youre lovely, inside and out kiss
oooo i love watches! i simply couldnt leave the house without one, id feel lost! i have 5 that i alternate between at the moment - 3 of which are from the seksy sekonda range which i love. they probably all cost around 45 quid each, one was a present, i wear them to match my clothes or my jewellry.
i have countless others hanging around in my dressing table drawers or in old jewellry boxes, in fact i think ive probably kept every watch ive ever had. ive got a couple of really expensive rotary ones somewhere....theyre gold tho and i only wear silver these days.
i also have a thing about clocks redface
