Seriously though, I always have a good time whenever I venture up North. I haven't spent enough time up there to know whether life is that different from the South.

My friend and I used to play Starsky and Hutch and both of us wanted to be Starsky, as he had dark hair and so did both of us. We even used to make the squealing car tyre and gunshot noises.

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought it said "Holiday In Reading" (as in the Berkshire town where I live). I am relieved this was nothing more than a momentary lapse in concentration on my part!
