We were fortunate enough to have an invite to meet another couple with a view to swinging on the first meet if all went well. We usually don't play first meet, we're not anti it and don't rule it out, but it is easier for all parties to accept its just social the first time. The opportunity to give more thought, remains then, open to all on making the decision whether to hit the sheets next time or not without embarrassment or that 'Oh christ how do we tell them its a no' situation.
Anyway moving back on to topic. The couple wanted us to meet at a hotel for a meal and a drink halfway between them and us and if all went well book a room and going halves on it, sounds OK you think? well it did to us but when we googled the hotel and found out the prices of the rooms and the menu prices Oh bloody hell" The room was just short of £200 for the night and the set meal was well over £25 each. Add to this a couple of rounds of drinks and maybe a coffee we are/were looking at an over £200 night out.
Far too much for us i hasten to add and i conveyed that to this couple suggesting an alternative but nice hotel where the cost was going to be about half. Well the couple said they really did like the looks of this place and thought it would be an ideal place to meet up as they do like to spoil themselves when they go out. Well a long story gone short we decided it wasn't for us. Not because of the people but because of the cost of a 'possible' swing.
Anyone else ever get situations like this and although in some circumstances we would pay £200 for something swing orientated such as we have done on going to a munch etc But just on a social meet with a chance of extra...?
I dont have a big problem with how people spell. As long as It can be understood and the context is thereabouts then that's good enough. Remarking on it is just a bit crap I think.

My vie is that the referendum was designed to fail with total lack of enthusiastic debate or canvassing plus including it along with local elections bollox - I think its a shame personally as it would of been a chance for those who think that British politics is a waste of time to actually do something, however small, to show how much it pisses them off. AV wouldn't of been the end of the world and certainly wouldn't of been detrimental compared to the shit we take now. An opportunity has been lost to do something about it, even if something else would of had to take its place later on. Ah well another generation until any possibility of change occurs i guess.
F*cking love the Royal family and I'm a royalist through and through, don't give a stuff whether others think that's good or bad. I watched the wedding and loved it and as a non political organisation as far as it can be I hold it in higher personal esteem than the bullshit politician spouting bullshit all the time.
The way I got here and the way I live in Britain in the here and now has the Monarchy integral to it just as a Frenchman would realise that their history in the here and now has the French Revolution integral to it. I see no reason to not celebrate Being British with living British heritage as others celebrate their living history.
2 billion people watching the event makes it special, important and unique and WANTED! Brilliant day! :bounce:
The Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden is dead and his body in the hands of U.S troops. After ten years of searching finally a page of history is, with luck, being turned. What a coup for President Obama too. Nice that it comes as he steps up his game in the coming political seasons in the U.S
I think this is good for the whole world and will be of relief not only to the west but to the Muslim countries and Muslims around the world.
Good news say I

Though in principal I agree fun, how would a single female go about a profile if she predominantly meets as a single although on occasion teams up with A N Other to swing as a couple? Same goes for single guys too. Regardless of how or who should have profiles its always going to be open to interpretation and bulls*it.
In my mind its not the place to look for 'the relationship' See more destroyed than made. Not saying that there aren't success stories there are but its rare people advertise the heartache ones

Ahhh Pavlov. Wasn't he the one who experimented with Meringues and food and bells and things.
I guess my interpretation is that sexuality is possibly primordial in origin possibly for the sake of the species. You know sowing the seed in as many females as possible to ensure the continuation of humano humans and through things such as fairymoans given out then possibly on a biologically instinctual level man is drawn towards woman. Obviously historically this was a good thing as we're still here, not saying homosexuality is not good just that it would of been historically of no useful significance. so in essence heterosexuality, going back far enough, was a biological psychological fundamental fact not a choice
So. the species is now assured bar disasters and the need to procreate, in the fashion that once was, is now not the case. It could be that evolution now dictates to us that pleasure through sex is taking on a role that is possibly far more important than procreation, as that can be done using other means, through the conception part and a little beyond now, at least, and who knows how far beyond and how soon even.
We still have the remnants within us of our ancestors, we still have our seperate male and female scents for instance, maybe be that harks back to those times. Maybe this is why some of us don't have a choice in being heterosexual it's what we are biologically programmed to be. Lets face it we're now confronted with different stimuli to activate our sex thought processes. things such as clothing, hairstyles, fashion, body shape, money perfumes, (realising that some of these do have crossovers here btw).
So these unconscious choice things may for some of us be getting blurred or in evolutionary terms unnecessary. This surely bares out that society is now more accepting of different ways of being sexual and or loving than it ever was. OK, still away to go maybe, but developing alongside our human evolution.
