I'm thinking of hosting a pop quiz in the chatroom tonight if there's interest. Probably sometime between 8-9pm.

It'll be a pop trivia quiz, just a bit of fun and hopefully nothing too taxing. I can keep scores if required.
The questions will fall into the following categories:
60s, 70s, 80s, Britpop, Soul/Reggae/Disco, Singers & Songwriters
Play for fun or play for points (sorry, no prizes!).

When in the chatroom, the fact that I'm logged in seems not to be synchronised with the rest of the site. I have to manually log back in every now and then to view profiles.
Is it possible to have the Prev and Next buttons repeated at the bottom of the photo ad pages? Seems logical that most people would access them from there rather than the top of the screen.

Given the fact that a considerable amount of time has obviously been invested in the design and layout of the room (and that it's in late beta) indicates the cosmetics uncutgem commented on are unlikely to change significantly.
I far prefer the old layout. Anything that keeps it simple as possible without all the flashy graphical extras keeps it lean and easy to use. There are loads of far better designed chatroom applications already available (including the existing SH one).
I don't understand why it's necessary to put so many "bells and whistles" onto something that essentially is used for text input with a little video on the side. IMHO the simpler it is to use the better it would be at achieving favour with the widest possible audience.
Helpful suggestions should also include feedback on what works and what doesn't - that's standard user acceptance testing practice.

Hiya Shireen - good to see that you've seen the problems others have regularly with non-Op accounts....I think a number of members have been very frustrated with feedback from Ops stating they have no problems (some replies have implied that it's the fault of the individual concerned). I'm sure you'll be sharing your findings with other Ops.

I only did this once many years ago...strangely enough at around this time of year. Late at night driving home from a club at a sedate speed down a deserted country road.
