My favourite Aunty is like that, not only does she claim to have everything she wants, but she sensibly actually tells you when the gift you have bought her is a waste of money.
However she is widowed and does not know one end of a hammer from the other, so last year I gave her an IOU for a days work fixing repairing or otherwise mending stuff round her house (ended up taking two days LOL) she said it was the best gift she had ever had!
So perhaps that, or if your talents lie in other directions some other service that you can offer them that they might otherwise have to pay over the odds for (try and keep it clean folks)may be appreciated.

I think in one way its great Ben, as you say to see kids being aware and for a change suggests that government campaigns have worked AND that parents are helping to make their wee ones get the message.
Im not sure how the figures compare to how many kids would have reported such things to their parents or elder brothers when I was a kid. If an approach was made in the swingpark when I was a youngun the retribution taken by Dads and brothers was never recorded- although possibly more effective at least for the local community.

Yeah they dont much bother me either. Unfortunately they dont work very well in reducing crime in the long run, well not the important stuff. They work quite well at getting asbo-wallahs back to the court they just came back from and frequently catch them scratching someones Vauxhall Nova when they have had too many cheap white ciders from criminals have never really had much trouble with cams and if anything a building well covered with cameras can often just be a badge that says theres something in here worth stealing.

I have to say as far as Floella goes it was never the fact she was black that made me dislike her it was just that she was so feckin shouty. Like one of those nursery teachers that just shout enthusiastically at children whilst taking not a bit of feckin notice what the kids say or do.
