This is a very difficult subject to comment on. On one hand I know he doesn't mean it badly - he's just phrased it badly. On the other hand, I am thinking of the anaesthesiologist at the hospital who had a good feel of my breasts and belly supposedly for anaesthetic reasons... yeah right! I wonder why all the anaesthiologists I've seen before were content to just look into my mouth and make me move my head but he had to check out my tits and big belly! I feel annoyed because this is one situation you can't really tell the other guy off or report him - he'll say he was just doing his job.
For the record, I didn't get aroused by his touch.
I am back home now, bit sore (think they may have forgotten an instrument or two inside me...) but managing. It is going to be a long recovery but thank heavens there is SH to keep me company.
With regards to the signs, I also crossed the path of a ladybird the day before surgery. LOL

As some of you know I am abroad trying to get medical treatment that was not immediately available on the NHS but is absolutely necessary for me.
The last few days lots of weird signs have appeared and I don't know what to make of them:
The day I was going to see the surgeon a dog appeared out of the blue. He was an exact copy of my childhood dog but less muscular and malnourished. He was very friendly with me. That dog had died following a fall down the stairs.
My surgery was arranged for 7/7 - ok, it is a different country, I shouldn't worry.
Today I took a look at the foreign calendar that is hanging in my mom's kitchen and the 7/7 is St Apollonia's day. Now that wouldn't have worried me but the hospital I am going to is the ex Apollonio hospital (same name).
It is probably nothing, just some of these weird coincidences that happen but how would you have taken them, as signs or as mere coincidences?
And what is CBT?
In my world it is not something you do on a road....
I now have the estimate. It is £1800 per person for a 10-day cruise including airfare, land transfers, continental breakfast, lunch, tips, and VAT. The motor sailer has got double airconditioned cabins with private facilities, a lounge with TV/video, a full crew and sport facilities (windsurf, fishing, snorkelling, water ski but motorised sports come at an extra charge). Extra costs would be any hotel accommodaton before or after the cruise, alcoholic drinks, entrance fees, dinners, personal expenses.
The cost would fall to £1260 for a 7-day cruise or £1,080 without airfare.
Anyway, if anyone wants to arrange such a cruise, let me know and I'll pass on the agent's details to you as well as my best wishes.

Thanks for your comments. Chartering a big cruise ship would be better but that is a project and a half and I am not sure I want to get involved with its organisation as it would demand a lot of my time and energy.
I have now found another boat that would cost £1100 for 10 days per person. So that would bring the cost down to just £1500 per person including airfare and land transfers, possibly even a hotel overnight.
After all the negativity, however, I am just looking into chartering a yacht for just me and a handful of pals. At the end of the day, my pleasure matters and I won't be happy with people who are not sociable and outgoing.
Now I am off to research 'swinging cruises' to see if any take place local to me... ;)

As for organising something big, I don't see why some people seem worried about it. You don't know my credentials from my vanilla life, you don't know what amounts of money I have handled and what events I have organised and how successful they were or not.
If you read back to my first post on this thread, I asked for ideas about a possible swinging cruise. It is all in the conception stage, still; it is not even down on the planning board.
You have rightly mentioned that the people would have to know each other and feel confident with each other. Well, we have the time to get to know each other, I believe.
You have rightly freaked out about the cost but I have already said that is a guesstimate of a luxury cruise including all other expenses. A guesstimate is just that: guessing an estimate without having adequate information, it is not a reality so don't get too hung on it, please.
As for guaranteed action, I am sorry, nothing in this life is guaranteed, except death and taxes.
And true, I have only been to one social so far but I think it is irrelevant. It is like telling a couple about to get married that they have not attended many weddings themselves, therefore they are not qualified to organise their own and cannot hope for success under the circumstances...
So please, let us stick to constructive criticism, if criticism be necessary. I wanted ideas, input, advice, help. Telling me it cannot happen is not helping me.

It is best you are hairless down there but once you start, you need to do careful maintenance as stubble will not only hurt the ladies but will cause you an awful itch and discomfort.
That makes a lot of sense Shireen but sometimes the chat slows down terribly and then people complain that they were locked out and had to wait 5 mins to get back in. It seems to happen when they click on someone's name to see his/her profile. But it could be a mere coincidence I guess.
OK let me enlighten you.
For the past few days, the site has been having problems which I am sure the admin is hard at work trying to fix.
We all get to the point where we are trying to log on and it doesn't seem to progress. There is no point trying to change your login details/password. It is a temporary glitch.
HINT: if you look at the Member Stats and it says 0 to everything or has very few people showing (e.g. 20 people instead of thousands) then the system is not working properly. Relax, make yourself a cup of tea and come back later.
HINT 2: strangely enough the chatrooms seem to work fairly well when the forums are down but don't dare try to change rooms or you'll be locked out from chat as well.
Please be patient and I am sure our SH will be back in full working order soon.

But that aside, how about gathering a few props, e.g a wig, sunglasses, a pipe, a fake moustache, some googly eye glasses, you know stuff that are weird and funny and keep changing your appearance whilst you give a talk on how versatile you are and how much fun it would be for people to meet you. Sometimes laughter is the best ice breaker and warms people up on you.
