The really strange thing about the term BBW, is the number of women who don't like the term because they don't see themselves as beautiful. Well after the BBW social I'm convinced it's Big Beautiful Women, but then I'm probably biased.
We live in a very prejudice world and ultimately shouldn't need to have these labels. Afterall you're all women and shouldn't have to excuse yourselves with the label. When did you last hear of TBWs (Thin Beautiful Women)?
Sorry it makes my blood boil. It's people that matter, what's inside.
And by the way Sugar-n-pom, don't put yourself down, I've seen you and you're gorgeous!

why is she put off the usual swinging clubs? maybe when you know that youll know a starting point to look for.?
money does not bring manners, clenliness or a better class of swinger.
take a look at the reviews of the clubs listed on here.
see what people have to say. you dont have to play when you go along, so maybe a few pounds spent going to one of the usual clubs may turn out worthwhile.
give it a check over.

Absolutely true … and sometimes having loads of money will guarantee the people will be loud mouthed and obnoxious.
Ultimately it's the people who make it fun, or not, and you can't buy that.

Remember to choose USB for your camera. The internal camera in the iMac, and all other Macs and Laptops, uses an internal USB2 connection.
cool 8-) 8-)
There's loads going on in the spa and club scene, but this time of the year is a little quieter than usual.

OK! OK! I give in!!!
I've received more comments than I'd expected, and I've only figured out two of them, who have now confessed, the others have me completely stumped.
dunno :dunno: :dunno:
So please put me out of my misery and PM me to let me know who you are. Otherwise I'll stay up all night trying to figure it out.
… and I need ALL the beauty sleep I can get.

That's a shame Dark_side72. You seem to fit in really well. If you change your mind don't hesitate to come back, but in the meantime best of luck.
sad :( :(
Brilliant!!!
So many great people turned up. Didn't manage to talk to all the people I wanted to, due to chronic shyness, but big big hugs and kisses to everyone that turned up.
Fantastic evening!!!!!!!!!!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
I'll second that it was a great evening!
Big hugs and kisses to Sheer_gloss, and Mandybigboobs for organising the whole thing. The event of the year for me.
MIssKitty and I are still buzzing from having such an exciting and fun time.
I'd like to second that.
This was my first ever social and it was brilliant! Had a great time, made some new friends, saw some old ones and had a thoroughly good time.
sheer_gloss and mandybigboobs put in so much work and time to pull off one of the best evenings I've had in years!
Well done to the both of you, and many many thanks for a great evening.

Sorry, folks. It has to be The Wurzels.
lol

Saw them at the w/e - fun, but not even in the same league (although they seemed convinced they were!)
I am a musician. I LOVE music. Stones, Queen, Cream, Led Zep, Floyd. All are great. But none quite have the depth, breadth and versatility of the Beatles.
Having said that, their often overlooked magic ingredient was George Martin.
Have to say there is clear evidence there. My most fav band of all is Led Zep. They have sold more albums than I think any other band have. Over 350 million albums. Never a single made and still today are probably the biggest rock band ever. You only have to see the interest in their recent concert at the O2. 23 million hits on that website in 24 hours for tickets.
The Beatles however went through transitional stages in their music, and were huge throughout. As songwriters they surely have to be the best with maybe just maybe the exception being rodgers and hammerstein.
They were the first British band to crack America which is no mean feat even today. Great British bands have tried and failed big time on that score.
Whilst Led Zep in my mind are the best band ever I have to say the Beatles were and still are the most iconic band to ever have come from these shores. Lennon and Mcartney will forever be remembered in the anals of music history, and their music is as good today to listen to as it was in the late 60's, that is pure class.
You're probably right about the Beatles but I've never really liked them, apart from their Sargeant Pepper period. However I agree with your choice of Led Zeppelin, although I'd include The Who as well. They totally blew everyone away at LIve 8.

Feedback would be good as people can see if your genuine, we have been on this site a year & have never met anyone but on LS we have meet 12 couples this year alone. Do people really met on here?
Kim & John xxx

Yes. redface People meet quite a lot on here. But, as mentioned earlier in this thread, most prefer to keep it quiet.
It's less about feedback and more about discretion.
Nola x
Exactly

The thing is Lrgck9 one person's timewaster is another person's successful meet. Feedback of the kind you seem to want, would only tell us what that one person thinks about another individual, but wouldn't tell me whether I'd get on with that person or not. Therefore it would be of no help whatsoever. Instead it would simply be a vehicle to rant, and slag other people off. Again serving no purpose.
It seems to me there are 'timewasters' in the vanilla world as well, and I don't remember seeing a name and shame notice board anywhere. Instead one simply takes it on the chin and moves on. That's life.

Surely it is important for a profession such as the medical one to have in place a set of checks and balances?
I don't know much about current appraisal requirements, but if anything were to improve the standard of patient care or weed out incompetence or, god forbid, prevent another Shipman case, then I think it can only be of benefit.

do you realise shipman could have passed this gimmick test with flying colours, conning over 300 elderly women to change wills is a proof of trust(breach of trust)
This is the real problem isn't it? These measures have been brought about as a knee jerk reaction to situations like the Shipman case, and to reassure patients about the competency of their doctors.
However Shipman's competency was never in question. His problem laid elsewhere and therefore any competency measures would not have any effect on the final outcome. Instead doctors will have other pressures to consider and will be less tolerant of patients, who will be of less importance in terms of getting through the competency criteria, and so will be pushed through the system even faster than they are now in order to satisfy another government target.

Yup! They're all corrupt! I got the same thing going the opposite way round. They kept saying it was increase in fuel costs, but either way you always end up paying more money. I don't think it really matters who you're with anymore, you're going to get ripped off.
