(6) Either 2 is heavy or 6 is light, weight one and Number 3 could be light.
Nor that better be right after I typed it, I am sure there is a simpler way by giving all the condoms a 3 digit no and having weighting combinations but couldn't be arsed to figure it out.
The main reason statements 4-6 aren't guaranteed correct is because you made an assumption about which group was heavier on your first weighing and didn't allow for the scales tipping the other way.
There is another reason, a strategic one on the second weighing - you're on the right lines though.
CQ has actually solved it I think, she's just having trouble explaining the details of the third weighing. ;)
Iain has solved the (1,2,3,4) = (5,6,7,8) scenarios, and his strategy for the third weighing will adapt to the outcomes of (1,2,3,4) > (5,6,7,8) and (1,2,3,4) < (5,6,7,8).
I'm expecting a quiet day at work, so I'll be composing Condom Logic #3. I'm sure all the pieces of this puzzle will have been fitted together by the time I get back tonight ;)

If condoms 1-4 are heavier then you reverse the procedure, that will work, but I am not going to type it up.

I would definitely prefer to take my chances with the dogs, by the time it is being "ripped to bits" it is already dead. While a shot can kill quickly and painlessly not all shots hit there target and can injure and maim foxes that can die painfully and slowly over a period of time.
All I can say about the hunt having a go at you is that they are completely in the wrong, many do put there back up at people thinking they are antis. I do know some hunters are asses but most are nice country people.
If hunting goes many more foxes will be killed and the easiest and most common way will be to bury them in there set and gas them, hunting actually kill very few foxes.
Yes, I think I would defiantly prefer my chances with the dogs.

do feel slightly sorry for them ............jobs ............loss of a good day out smoothering them selves in blood ..............drinks in the pub afterwards............the thrill of the kill

i live in the country side and hardly see a fox ..........and if the farmer wants rid of them go bloody shoot them and end it quick

Sorry babe but if it is the welfare of the fox then shooting is worse (and no i am not a hunt suporter) and where are you if you hardly see a fox, we have hundreds of them, but i work with wildlife and at nights so i see them when most people dont.
You have to remember that this is not a fox hunting ban but a hunting with dogs ban, depending on the law, if you take your dog for a walk and it chases and kills a hare you could be done.
Have to agree with xxdevil69 ban is a load of crap and from a welfare pint of view should not be banned.

Hi Guys - Just wanted to say a thank you to D & M for a great night last weekend.
It was our first time at a party like this and we had an amazing night.
The atmosphere is really relaxed and there is no pressure whatsoever to join in or do anything other than what you want to do!
Not sure if we can make the party on the 27th as i think i have to work - but we will definately be going to D & M's parties in the future.
