So SFSG lose a good man to save a journalist who was warned not to go to the area he did, no doubt trying to get a scoop and "expose" war crimes by the NATO forces for bombing Taliban owned tankers. I hope he remembers his life, his freedom of speech and his free press has been paid for by the blood of the very people he likes to undermine for the cost of a story!

Slight Tone mapping for effect.

Glad this thread has been revived lol

Not got the hang of tone mapping but that's a great pic.
Thanks. It's a case of the right subject and not toooo much tone mapping or it looks, well, fake.
If you ever need some tone mapping help, give us a yell.
Rgds

The annoying this is, there is a spell check on the story section, so no story need be submitted, with poor spelling, I just think it is a case of the submitter too lazy to use it, or to write the story in word first, make any corrections, then copy and paste in into the site.

To be honest Sarah, I think it is an insight to the men (and more surprisingly the women) who author the rubbish. The laziness involved in publishing their story makes me think they are probably lazy selfish lovers too. The stories smack of, "I've got a big cock and that is enough! You lot be grateful and jump on!"
If they will not use a spell check, they are unlikely to use the skills we like in sex: thoughfulness, consideration and imagination!
Must admit, we like the stories section. Every so often there is a gem amongst the badly written, lack of basic English, rubbish on there. We have added a few (under suffolkcpl), and generally received quite good feedback. Which basically means, English lessons at school were not waisted LOL!
It is a shame that 90% of it is just rubbish. The stories lack substance, or as already pointed out, are just too clinical, and have no real eroticism. Still, makes finding the gems all the more satisfying!

Oh choices....
Probably Lara Croft and Starbuck (from new series, NOT face from the A Team!) LOL

I see you like mountains.I was so chuffed to reach the summit of this one. Sadly I couldn't linger for as long as I'd liked  You know what Its like. Thin air, plummeting temperatures and exhaustion. Besides, the Bus left the resturant at 4pm to wind it's way back down to Santa Cruz
The only thing that worries me is this: If you are stood behind the camera, then I might be expected to get in front of it! Buying a camera became my best "get out" clause as regards not having to interact with Mrs Dirty in car parks lol

Yes, just love being in the hills!!
As for your get out clause, don't forget, we always need someone to hold the reflector just out of shot, to through light into those hard to reach places
Yippeeeee,
Well done, a DSLR will serve you well. :P :P
Now we have converted you to that, we can pick on you for going down the Nikon route and not the Canon !!
smackbottom :smackbottom: :smackbottom:
Only kidding, the D60 is a great camera from what I have heard!
Don't forget to post some of your work when you get back!
You need to get someone else to take the photos ;)
Let them worry about the power drain LOL
lol
Use lithium batteries.
If using rechargeable, go for the biggest rating they have (over 2800 is a good start)
Turn off any un-necessary software on the camera, eg beeps, photo reviews, live view, fancy special effects etc..
Don't chimp. (Don't review each photo on the camera after you have taken it)
Only have it on when you need to take a shot.
To be honest, live view (when the rear screen is displaying a picture of what the camera sees) is often the biggest drain on power.
These tips should increase the shoot per battery ratio of your current camera, meaning you don't need to buy a new one!
lol biggrin

A lot of French films were murdered by Hollywood remakes...

As are a lot of Tartan Asia films...
Infernal affairs and the Ring to name but two...
Yet another vote for Freddie here...
Not just the voice, not just the songs, but as previously said, he could hold every member of the stadium crowd in his hand.
He is still missed, but his music lives on.
Other than bad spelling, bad grammar and poor punctuation the lines I hate are:
And then p fucked t while j lick d's balls and f just stod thier and wanked and then d fucked r dispite facing the rong way and m came for a 100th time in as many minutes and g was panting and out of breath like i am reading this.....
Well, you get the point...
Put some b00dy names in the stories!! mad :x

you could call me something else and be put on a charge!

A charge? 252ing doesn't sound like it was the Para way?
LOL
I remember as a young tom being sent by my Plt Sgt to the REME ASMs office to ask for a 252 form, "in order to charge the Land Rover batteries"...
I recall calling him some other names after that! (not to his face of course!)

All the best,
"A Hat" lol
It a shame the Government didn't move one of the Bank holidays to June, and have Armed Forces day as a Bank Holiday rather than a Saturday!
That way loads of squaddies would still have had two days off, and a good day, rather than working on a Saturday lol
Still, joking aside, I hope the day is a success and goes from strength to strength. It would be nice if it got to the levels of support that the RASS in Germany got, or the Royal Tournament got over here (Still not forgiven the Government for not supporting the keeping of that!)
And hopefully HFH (Help For Heroes) charity will make a fortune off the back of that day too.
Totally agree, but for those on a budget, I still think going down the DSLR route is still money well spent.
rolleyes
As the OP I used OT to mean off topic, as browsing isn't really about swinging, unless it has another meaning I've totally missed LOL redface
Well, I'm using google chrome at the moment, and it is a thousand times faster than IE8 biggrin
I'll give Firefox a spin tomorrow and keep which ever I take to the most.
Thanks for all your help.
Cheers
Seems to be a lot of support for Firefox :P
Just been reading up on Google Chrome too. That seems very competent too.
Might try them both out. Cheers for the advice.
Cheers, i'll read up on them. Didn't realise how bad IE was until is googled "speeding up IE8"!
No one seems to have a good word to say about it!!
Can anyone recommend a good fast web browser for Windoze Vista 32bit?
At the moment i'm using IE8 and it is painfully slow, which is strange because Vista has just been reinstalled, so in theory the laptop is clean (less all our mucky photos LOL)...
I just need a browser that is fast to load pages and can handle multiple pages open at once (tabbed?) and is stable. Oh, and the usual stuff with Java, faves, etc..
Cheers
Oh, a till.
Er, seems things are being made more complicated than they need be rolleyes
Cheers, i'll try and use that next time i'm shopping.

I'm not overly familar with F-stop capabilities on stills cameras as i'm more of a TV camera geek. At F2.8 i'd probably be dropping a bit of gain onto a TV cam (and going 'grrrrrrr' as i know i'll have noise artifacts) or looking for a big fekin light to switch on.

Not to familiar with movie cameras, but F2.8 on a still camera is very fast, with a very wide open aperture, meaning less light is required, and almost no noise on the shot. lol
