Hello bedhead!
On the forum index page there is a link to what happens at a munch in Lets Meet Up. I'll let you check out the details, but suffice to say they are highly recommended for meeting the wonderful people of SH en masse. If the NW Munch in January is anything to go by, the Midlands Munch should be a total blast.

Does anyone remeber The Flashing Blade? Like Robinson Crusoe, this was an import, this time from France. It was set during the Huguenot wars in the C17. It was fantastic, how I'd love to see it again!
And the BBC's dramatisation of The Children of the New Forest - wonderful stuff for the romantic child I was. I've always loved the book too. A wonderful romance.

Okay, so far the dream has told me I can multi-task, I'm driving towards a goal creatively, I need sex, I have time to chat and I'm the subject of much duelling in the forum. I have too much on my plate (though not bacon and eggs right now) and I think I'm losing my small but perfectly formed marbles.

Gman - I find your last post rather confusing, although not for the first time.

Altho the challenge has been laid by the kidskin clad Will I will refuse it...
In Will's retreat I will not I swear castigate or crow... but merely accept the retreat of a gentleman hwo realises the futility of such an escapade...

It is you who have refused the challenge and Will has not retreated. I believe that leaves him master of the field. I'll pop the elastoplast back in the box then.

It matters not a jot to me that you are trained in unarmed combat. Will is a master not only of the sword but also of the pen and as such seduced me long before I met him.
He is also aware that strength can be silent. The ranging torrent sweeps all before it in tumult and little of worth remains. I prefer calmer waters.

Getting back to my thread, in answer to Artificer's first post - thank you for the Yeats. A particularly beautiful passage and I can only wish that my dreams were of such beauty. There was little poetry in that dream, sadly, just a feeling of incipient panic. Rather like life in general.
We are such fools as dreams are made on...
