I have given up on shaving. You shave, it grows. Usually you can feel the regrowth within an hour. As for the nasty little spots - ouch. By the time the spots have gone you might as well never have shaved. I trim, close and neat but no shaving.
I can't imagine it's physically possible to wax the more intimate bits. This skin is far too thin and moveable for that not to risk ripping the skin open. And imagining laying there with my feet in stirrups would remind me far to much of giving birth. bolt
I can't see how a tourist hot spot is a good place for swinging. By the broadest definition - consenting adults meeting by mutual agreement for recreational sex. Unless you can find people who swing there, you're not swinging. I'm sure many of the girls (best check age and gender first btw) are wiling enough - but are they swingers? I doubt it. Do non-residents visit with the intention of swinging? Possibly - I've not been so I wouldn't know. But wouldn't it be easier to meet those same people here?
It just seems odd to go to places famous for their sex trade to find swingers.

Ever swing with someone who is physically disabled?

Would you? And why are you asking? dunno
I'm curious to know too.

Seems very strange to me why they would think about appointing what is really a child. She has been proved to be a foul mouthed, violent racist and she is a girl FFS.

Just a quick query: what is the 'and she is a girl FFS' about? Are you implying girls are not foul mouthed, violent or racist? Or are you surprised a girl would be appointed to this post?
Just seems somewhat, dare I say it, sexist... dunno
Sorry Nola. What I meant was I would have expected that behaviour from a guy, but I thought girls were a bit ermmm better behaved, and less offensive?
Not for a second would I say anything negative purely because she is a girl, in fact I would say they were probably more capable than the opposite sex.
You don't get out much do you? LOL
Seriously. Girls (some girls) are just as bad as (some) boys. Don't ever think that sweet looking little girl is actually sweet - she has probably just put mud in someone's sandwiches. My personal experience of girls (ie my sister) is that they are a damned sight more devious that boys.
It's not something I would 'boast' about but in the context of this question I think it's reasonable to comment. I have swung with people with a physical disability, I have also dated same. I also have friends with varying levels of disability - from needing glasses, to being (now) nearly bed-ridden.
They are, without exception, people. biggrin
To be honest, sex with someone with disability makes you think about which moves work and which don't. It is no less erotic, more so if anything.
If you are planning to meet with someone and have found out that they are disabled don't let the disability but you off. Personality and 'keenness' are so much more important.
Blindness or deteriorated eyesight was always quoted as a possible result of measles.
My son got measles at 4 months old - ages before he was due for his official jab. Why? Because some moron of a woman, who should under no circumstances have been allowed to breed in the first place, thought it was a good idea to take her sick 4 year-old - spots, temperature and listlessness clear evidence of a viral infection - to a clinic for 1 month old babies - the toddler had measles!!!!!!! It's perfectly possible that she infected most if not all of the babies that had been taken to the clinic to ensure their good health and development.
Luckily he didn't seem to get any of the long-term effects. (He's 25 now but it still makes me angry to think of such casual thoughtlessness.)

Help! I am running the FB page for our village hall. I have managed to set that as my homepage and cannot get back to being me. How do I switch the default FB homepage back to my identity?

Top right hand corner of the toolbar has a little wheel icon .....click on it and it has a change to option.
Bless you XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I assumed that was just settings.

I would never have asked to use them, as there in no way I am sticking my arse on one of those toilets where a million and one people's other arses have sat. I cannot think of anything more gross.

Me neither. I always check out the nearest cafe/pub for toilets when visiting any temporary event. Luckily I'm not one of those with a thimble bladder. My sister is murder - can't make a 2 hour car drive without having to stop - I can go 8 hours teaching in an engineering company with no female toilets within view and only hairy-arsed engineers to ask for directions (I do ask eventually if I need to).
On entering an unfamiliar building spot - toilets, coffee machine, fire exits - in that order. biggrin

South West Water 'init',
Rather than properly managing the situation they've chosen to pump raw sewage into the sea affecting Torquay, Shoalstone, Broadsands, Goodrington, Paignton Sands, Preston Sands, Meadfoot, Anstey's, Babbacombe, Oddicombe, Watcombe and Maidencombe.
Granted probably cheaper than any fines they'll get.

What's the alternative?
Yuck. But it looks like it was a temporary situation. Mind you, anyone on any UK beach this week is barking mad.
It is never a good thing to have to pump raw sewage into 'public' water. I used to go to Scarborough regularly as a child. I reckon I'm immune to everything from stomach bugs to dyptheria now.
If they spend any time in general population they will last about 1 day. Can you imagine them facing 400 men and women who haven't seen their own kids in years and worry every single day if they are being bullied or hurt while they, the parents, aren't there to look after them.
Even paedophiles rarely kill, or wish to kill, their young victims and are likely to turn on this lot. Which means segregation may not be enough to protect them. I hope.
I'm sure there are enough flights within one airline for them to calculate an average weight per passenger and calculate the per passenger fuel requirement for any given flight. I am certain they are doing that already.
They then have to control the other variable weight impact - that being the passengers' luggage weights. Hence charging for overweight luggage.
The other controllable weights are what the airline choose to add to the cabin - food/drink carts, number of cabin crew (dictated by safety minimums and agreed service levels), the extras like in flight magazines.
Airframe and engine manufacturers have been working for decades on reducing fuel consumption. The savings by improved engine efficiency alone have been huge. Lightweight paints, plastic or composite fixtures and fittings, fewer repeat/redundant systems and components enabled by better and better manufacturing and inspection methods.
They could certainly cut weight one way - get rid of food/drink on short flights. It's pointless and only there because most airlines charge stupid money for a coke and sandwich.
To be honest the only thing on an aircraft whose weight per seat has increased is the passenger. (aircraft carry more people so are naturally heavier, but the weight is spread among more people)
But, I believe that airlines that start charging per passenger kilo are on a hiding to losing business and they are already allowing for our weight, just averaged across the full passenger list.

Not me. However the constant bickering between you pair does get boring!
Frankly it starts as boring and degenerates into pathetically annoying in about 4 posts.

I can see what you mean. But how to enforce it - I have 6 first cousins that I know of, about half their parents are still living, 2 blood nephews and goodness knows how many by marriage (one branch breed like rabbits). Of them I have met 1 recently. I have communicated with 1 other in the last year.
I could see me having to 'help out' people I haven't seen in 20 years and couldn't pick out in a line-up. And don't care much about come to that. I would rather help my friends - on here, from work, from the vanilla world.
Put it this way - I wouldn't stand as a loan guarantor for most of my 'family' but I could name 10 friends off the top of my head that I would stand for.

That`s the thing ....it isn`t a case of "enforcing" it`s a case of returning it to a cultural norm .
It could never be enforced but we should be looking at State aid as a last resort rather than a first fix.
Got you. We already do that in our family - among the ones that are close. Not to the point of fully replacing state aid - but certainly covering emergencies.

I took the test on the BBC website earlier today after it popped up on Facebook. Apparently I'm part of the Established Middle Class. I was quite disappointed really considering I had my servants fill in the questions for me! rolleyes
;)

Me too - frankly I'm embarrassed. :giggle:
I like beards, I like shaved. I can't stand stubble. It's lazy and displays a disregard for the person the unshavee is with. And designer stubble ranks alongside trousers hanging off a skinny bum.
Not everyone likes the look or feel of male facial fluff. I like it - so long as it's tidy. Oooo and neck-beards disappearing into the shirt collar - get a grip. Shaved up to the under-chin crease please.
Apart from that. I would think a good scrat with a soft nail brush or similar might help with the itching. dunno
Let's not lose sight of the fact that this individual KNEW it was dark and KNEW she was in an area not set up for 'customers' to use. Therefore she should have taken extra care of her OWN safety. She didn't - she fell. Tough.
Exploring dark corners of outside places is part of her job. Why did she not get the torch from her car? I'm pretty sure a torch would be a standard part of the police equipment. She chose not to supply herself with appropriate safety equipment. Tough.
I really can;'t see any claim standing up in court, But the police have got better things to spend their time and money on. I assume she is hoping for a nice out of court settlement and preferably an easy way out of her job with a nice little handout. If I was her boss I'd be spending a bit of time exploring her financial background.

Now this hand signal is synonymous with a certain Adolf Hitler. Now we all know he was a Fascist but also a huge racist. He murdered millions of people because of their race and their sexual orientation.
This picture depicts very clearly to all except the most dumb in society, that this is him without a shadow of a doubt using a openly racist gesture. Italy's football supporters and many Italian's openly are racist.

No wonder people have the views they do, can anyone blame them?

Is there really any difference in the two pictures?
He is Italian and racism is rife in Italian football.

Pretty clear cut to me and no wonder David Miliband quit the club, as on the evidence he really had very little choice. Yes Paolo Di Canio is certainly guilty of using a racist gesture, does that make him an open racist though? Probably yes it does.

Surely the Nazis (Nationalsts) invented that particular salute? That makes it a fascist salute, not specifically racist.
Your line "He is Italian and racism is rife in Italian football." Seems to imply that since he is Italian and Italian football has a lot of racists that he is, be that definition alone, a racist. That doesn't work. I am an engineer, the vast majority of engineers are men therefore I am also a man? Hardly. Dodgy logic at best.
That person in the first picture may or may not be a racist - the image is clearly of a Nazi salute, especially if you take his facial expression into account, but even then does it mean he is a believer in the Nazi mind-set, a true fascist? Or does it mean he is just an ignorant, testosterone-driven, berk who thought it made him look tough?
They may occur in the same (twisted) mindset, but they aren't the same thing. Nor do they have to always go together. I think you are right about the casual link between fascists we are familiar with and their policies that end up being racist (or culturist) too.
I wouldn't invite either to dinner.

Being asked to give up your pets???? what next? give up your children???
FFS, I hope she gets help.

Why do people - not just you Rogue - equate pets and children? They are fundamentally different. Pets are bought and sold - children are not. Pets are put down when they are in too much pain/suffering to carry on - children are not. Pets can be eaten - children are not. Most parents bear their own children - I've never heard of a human giving birth to a puppy.
Treatment that is completely acceptable by a pet-owner would result in a parent being imprisoned. So comments like "What next, XYZ your children?" Are specious and often destroy the very argument being made.
If you think thinner people will be charged less than they are now - go for it. But you and I know that will not happen.
Personally, I am 16 stone. If they start charging by the pound to fly I have a simple solution. I won't fly if I am paying. Work can pay for me to travel. But there are thousands of places I can visit without flying. I will go there. Flying to go on holiday is not compulsory nor is it the only option.

Troop aid are a small charity and therefore do a small amount to support our troops. Please don't get me wrong, I am not knocking what they do, or why they do it..
However the only troops that arrive in the UK 'with nothing but their shot-up clothing' are those that were at the furthest reaches of our pioneering surgery. Perhaps 20 in the last ten years.
Troops arriving back to the UK from Cyprus or the Falkland Islands are more than likely to be in civilian clothes, and those coming home from Afghanistan wear uniform too. Many units that go to Afghanistan ensure that their troops have a 'going home' uniform and that is the one they wear, sometimes only parts of it, when the guys return.
As I said, troop aid does a good niche job to assist the guys and girls out there; But their role is very small and generally only meets the needs on non frontline troops that have sustained an injury through sports, booze or physical activity rather than warfighting. Where their true value comes to its own is when an airman, sailor or soldier arrives back in the UK and they bridge the gap between the man's unit looking after him and his family.

I'm not sure what your key point is. Are you suggesting people should not donate to TroopAid cos it is small and only helps a small proportion of the military population?

Is there a personnel motive for this thread Foxy?

Of course there is. Every single thread is posted for a personal motive by the OP. My motive was to open discussion on what people see as equality - as stated in the original posting. Odd question.
My point was, and remains, that treating people exactly the same doesn't work because we are different. Treating people differently but 'appropriately to their needs' gives everyone equal access to opportunities.
I'm fine with people having differing view on what defines equality. It certainly makes for an interesting discussion.
Just to clarify - a few examples of inappropriate but equal.
Free school meals for all children - not necessary (and therefore a waste of our resources) for many as their families can afford to pay for lunch.
Providing sanitary towels in men's toilets - or alternatively refusing to supply them in the ladies cos men don't need them. (Ok silly example but you get the point.)
Not providing signers in schools, workplace learning or in the courts. If you are deaf your access to learning or a fair trial is compromised or removed entirely if a signer cannot be found. Very few deaf people could afford their own so one has to be provided.
Another word for appropriate has already been used - fairness.
I am fully aware that full equality (like so many deals) is not possible or expected. Is that a reason not to strive towards it?
On a related theme, can I introduce people to . They are a relatively small charity who help military personnel that find themselves injured and being hospitalised. When they first arrive either in a field hospital or that one in Birmingham they use a lot, they may have nothing but their shot-up clothing.
The help is in the simple form of a Grab Bag of personal items. These include T-shirt and shorts, washing and shaving kit, towel, face flannel, tooth paste, tooth brush, shower mules, socks, underwear, pen and paper. Female requirements are also provided.
I understand it also includes a small teddy bear which is sometimes found tucked away under the soldier's pillow.
These are deeply appreciated by the lads and lasses as personal hygiene and self-respect are so central to everyone's sense of self but more so in the military.

I want a 'no idea' option as I would never spend any of my precious time to listen to a lying thieving bastard like Osborn and I haven't caught any discussions about my specific circumstances.
I'd also like GNV and Starlight to stop bickering. It disrupts the thread for those who want to discuss the original subject and it's childish and unpleasant to have to scroll through to get to the next sensible post.

His most annoying trait though is his inability to spell - but with all credit, it has improved greatly over time.
It reads as hateful argument.
