yes we are blue. last week the head of b.a. says security measures at airports are superflous, aids of obama said months ago that nothing short of a 9/11 terror attack could get the democrates and him re-elected, the london times reported in july that alawaki had dinner with the head of the u.s. army at the pentagon months after 9/11.
alawaki is now number 1 of and is in yemen (yemen controls the entrance to the gulf) and, the yemen government made a statement on friday that no u.p.s. aircraft has flown out of yemen in the last week and there are no direct flights out of yemen to the u.k. !
So Qatar Airlines are lying when they say that one of the devices flew on two of their passenger planes? The other device is thought to have come to the UK via Dubai and Cologne, not on a non existent direct flight from Yemen.
funny how this terror alert comes within days of the u.s. mid term elections where the incumbent democrates are expected to loose. just like the underpants bomber at christmas preceded the rolling out of high resolution, high x-ray radiating body scanners at major airports ? we are being fed crap terror to keep us in fear, take away our rights in the interests of freedom and being sold the lie that the policy of foriegn wars is for peace ?
Maybe, just maybe, the introduction of the scanners was as a result of the underpants bomber???????? Or is that too simple an explanation for the conspiracy theorists?
the war on terror is a war of terror for all the peoples of the world and pure goebles propaganda to subjugate us all. the wars and occupations of iraq, afghanistan, northern pakistan and likely yemen and iran are to control the oil, gas and minerals of that part of the world for anglo-american interests for profit and have nothing to do with the mythical creation of an evil international resourceful terrorist organisation led by an unaging suposedly ex c.i.a. asset holed up in a cave in afghanistan.
fortunately, even the x factor/football struck masses are beginning to wake up to the fact that they are being constantly spun a pack of lies.

tariq aziz is a christian, and an intellectual from the previous regime of a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, no contacts or ties with or osama bin liner, no weapons of mass deception and will be executed by the occupation selected and controlled puppets of iraq to bury and maintain his silence on matters that would incriminate bush, wolferwitz, cheney, blair, brown and many other lying bastards, for genocide.

In a lot of the threads in here there are claim and counter claim about how much the previous Labour Gov. spent, or overspent, and the resulting huge dept now owed by this Country.
So a couple of questions, hopefully some clever people on here can answer them;
1, If this Country and most of Europe and America have such huge debts, who was rich enough to lend us / them those massive amounts of money.
2, How big would the UK debt have been / what would be the state of the nations finances, if the banking crisis hadn't happened. ie if the bankers had got it right instead of getting it wrong and needing umpteen billions to bail them out.

Quote by Theladyisaminxthe politicians in westminster, regardless of political colour have absolutely no say in foreign or domestic policy. they are merely pawns or more like actors in the theatre that is the palace of westminster. just like the puppet obama with his "we are change" and then no change but more of the same.
Isn’t the state of this countries problems partly due to the fact of the conservative government being in power from 79-97 and saying all can have, mortgages boomed credit cards become more widely used. Banks then lent more people became more selfish and wanted, expected. Which drove the banks on more, they I believe caused the starting of the bubble, I don’t let labour off either, but I do believe they had no choice but to invest in the infrastructure Schools, Hospitals that were old grumbling and falling down.
I believe we are suffering now as a result of what both parties have contributed too so I can’t feel comfortable with either of these parties, they have both failed us and caused the problems we are all facing now.
Hopefully with two parties having to work together compromise as most relationship partnerships have to learn to do I feel is the only hope we have left, that they might find an more even balance.
what are you views?

Quote by gulsonroad30664both invasions deano form parts of the geostrategic plan to control oil/gas and mineral reserves in the richest deposit area of the planet which is eurasia.
I think.....the invasion of Afghanistan....in the light of 9/11 was something that was required. Terrorists were being trained there, and sent out to do spread the threat across the western world. had we not stoped this, they would have gone on to do more bigger and daring things !! I think we needed to curtail the exploits of the Taliban.
Iraq is totally differant. I think we rushed in.....and was more to do with Mr Bush's wish to finish off what his father started !! I think they thought it would be a push over....all the locals would welcome them with open arms, and they would be seen as conquering heroes. As we all know things didn't quite turn out that way. Ain't hindsight a wonderfull thing. I do think the removal of Saddam Hussian, has left the world a better place. What all investigations have concluded is the same, that no plan, for after the invasion was ever really thought out.
We can't now just say, right had enough we are off. We invaded this country, it is our duty to oversee a government of the peoples choice is in place, and upheld. We may not want to be, but think we will have a presence there for at least another 25 years or so.

Quote by kentswingers777international finance and banking broke this country and most others kenty or have you got amnesia ? p.s. there is nothing socialist about new labour or any other parliamentry puppets.
Maybe true Max but..........still lefty tree hugging Socialists, who were part of a Government that broke this country financially.
Of which we are all about to start paying for heavily.
As I said already......who cares?
Quote by browningyes you are browning. all government foreign aid is conditional. usually, the money has to be spent with british companies carrying out contracts for works or to buy local politicians/influence within a geostrategic plan.
Just seen on the news that the UK is to give another £70 million to the pakistani flood appeal, bringing the total amount donated by HM goverment to £134 million.
Let me see if ive got this right, apperently the countries skint and we have to cut back on spending, including axeing police officers, and yet we can still give £134 million to the flood appeal.
Am I missing something here?

Think this one could rumble on a bit Blue.
Of course there was human error, they were not up to the job or.....not fit for purpose.
Brown was just a bumbling buffoon handed the reigns of power through the back door. Nobody dared to oppose him when he wanted the leadership as all the other candidates lost their bottle.
Blair on the other hand is a different animal entirely.
You only have to listen to the army top brass to know the Government let down our troops. They sent them into war under equipped to do the job they were told to do.
Whatever Blair says most of us know he sent us into war with the evidence about as flimsy as a crisp packet, and on the basis is a liar and a fraud.
Most of us know he did it to please the Yanks and in particular Bush, which in those circumstances is unforgivable.
I have spoken to many soldiers who have fought in Iraq and Afghanistan and they all say they were well underfunded, which is the fault of Blair.........period.
Time will tell all about this conflict in years to come, but I know that he sent our troops into war underfunded, which affected their ability to do the job, and also in my opinion caused soldiers their deaths and injuries.
On that basis I believe he should have been brought to task, but he never will as the British establishment have done a huge cover up to protect him from any prosecutions.
The inquiry where Blair gave evidence was very well manufactured.....he was well briefed in what to say, and to me I believe he lied his arse off in that inquiry....I am not alone in thinking this.
For me one of the most sickening things I have ever seen in politics, is the fact that Blair sent our troops to war, underfunded and unable to do the job to the best of their abilities, our troops are dying and getting seriously injured in what I believe was always just to satisfy Bush. Then when he quit office he then became a peace envoy, yes the word peace sticks in my throat, to the Middle East.
How and why this was allowed to happen is one of the reasons that I believe politicians at World level are corrupt, and it is all about doing things for ya mates.
It is about as corrupt as Obama getting the Nobel peace prize....for doing what exactly???
I am suprised that Bush was not awarded that accolade to be honest, as it is always about dodgy hand shakes and dodgy deals done behind closed doors. The Nobel prize has been hugely devalued for giving it to a man that had done nothing other than win the USA presidency, purely because he was black.....that's put the cat amongst the pigeons now.

a man boards a plane in amsterdam with something explosive in his undies, accompanied by a "sharp dressed man" according to numerous other passengers, with no passport according to the f.b.i. in detroit. he was filmed throughout the journey by the "sharp dressed man" according to the passengers seated near them and when the aircraft reaches journey's end, the odd couple are escorted away while all the other passengers are bundled into a holding area with their hand luggage and held for over an hour on the pretext of a security alert. within the same day, christmas day, the press is reporting various versions of the event, culminating in the story of the explosive knickers and therefore the need for "body scanners at airports" which are already in place at most airports along with eye scanners. ever since, the press has been ranting about the british and american embassies closing in yemen due to terrorist ciaquaeder threats, connections with iranian funding, dirty rotten iranians surpressing democracy movements in iran, islamic uk march through wooton bassett, etc etc.
expect a continual ramping up of islamaphobia culminating in a big event to justify some increased military action and further erosion of civil liberty's at home to "protect our freedom". just like the dimwit trying to set fire to his shoe lace, "hot pants is a patsy".
