There have been lots of good times on SH for me but probably the best was my birthday which coincided with a NW Munch (arranged by Vicky UK). A great pre drinkies meet (where I met for the first time AND got the most wonderful snog from a rather gorgeous young Lady) a fantastic night of drink and dance and an evening which ended up with a whole load of really lovely regulars back in Room 307 if I remember correctly.
SH when I first started here in 2004 was a blast and is full of good memories.

I was wanting to send some parcels out to some of our soldiers out there. Tried to find info of how to go about it and couldn't find anything.
Anyone know how?

TFFT! Not just me then....
I think, as I said before, people involved in the medical profession are at times too quick to try and put a label on it!

I have experience of this.
Likewise.
As I said Gorgeous, just an observation, not a criticism.
I agree that the reviews are exceptionally important and should be independent. I was referring to advertising of events by Clubs for members to attend on payment.
I wouldn't go to a private party where the organiser was attempting to make profit. That's not a private party in my eyes, it's a commercial venture and if I'm going to pay for a venue to swing in I'd rather hire an executive penthouse somewhere and know who was coming....wanna cum?
xx
ps. The Gorgeous was in reference to Missy St3v3....just in case wink

I'm surprised St3v3 that there is no charge for club listings, surely that's advertising revenue that's being lost.
A club gets to advertise for free on a site that many members have to pay for and those same members have to pay a not inconsiderable price to attend their advertised events?
Win / win for clubs for sure bearing in mind the membership numbers at SH and possible audience for adverts.
Just an observation, not a criticism.

But the good thing about free club listings are the reviews, which I'm sure, first time clubbers/curious people, rely heavily upon.
If clubs had to pay to be on the listing, then they'll start demanding that bad reviews are removed, due to the fact they're paying for the privilage (sp?) of being slagged off.
By the same token, would a private party, that's doing it for revenue, be up for honest reviews. How would they take the bad ones, would they demand the bad reviews be taken down, or would they take it on board and work with what's been said.
Personally, I think that there are too many private parties that are free, to warrant anyone paying £££'s to attend - unless they're only charging the poor buggers the single males???
I don't know, I just got back from the pub, and far too chuffed I done this with no typos!!!!!
And I do know that I love the Laird, and whatever he says is very right!! passionkiss
Even tho I disagreed???????? Did I just disagree, or did I just agree with Lairdy in a roundabout way but with loads more words......... can't remember what the bluddy ell he said now, was ages ago, been concentrating on typing this lot right to remember anything!!!

hi all, me and my girl planning on having a big horny session at the weekend and wanted to drop in a nice surprise during the fun. She's pretty much up for anything and open to suggestion so any of you guys got any good ideas other than getting someone else involved.

Half way through, just as she's getting to "that" stage, get up, get dressed and bugger off out.
Bet that surprises her

... i suspect it is made up by the same people who place every lazy under achiever somewhere on the autism spectrum...

Quote by the_Laird
I agree with you Brucie. It's a bit like every child that is a "handful" has ADHD. It seems that we now live in a society that everything needs to be labelled or put in the appropriate box.

Quote by fluff_n_stuff
I largely agree with the ADHD comment, but I think I would prefer it if you didn't refer to genuinely autistic people as lazy underachievers though. Thanks ;)

Just for the sake of clarity, I don't see Brucie doing that. Am I missing something? (it's been known to happen....I'm old)

I like the thinking but I don't think the numbers would stack up to make any real difference, one of the reasons that we don't charge for club listings.
Most likely it would result in less ads and less choice, but who knows until we try.

...so my question is what do you use/have to escape from vanillia life ??

I have no reason to escape my vanilla life. It's pretty good actually, indeed I have people that I have met on here who are now part of my everyday life. Guess I'm just lucky.
I dont see my swinging as escapism from a humdrum life. I've not been on the forum scene for a long time and am considering dipping my toe a bit again when I get a minute or two, basically because very few forumites actually know or have met me and, whilst there are obviously still some people so far up their own arses in their belief of their own importance complete with their posts and rants which appear to me to be pathetic attempts for grabbing attention, there seems to be a decent enough bunch of people posting at times.

"1 in 3 people will have been treated for depression in their lifetime "
what do they say? statistics statistics and damn lies or something like that...
does this figure include people who when seeing their gp say "im feeling a bit anxious about xyz"...?
i do not believe that statistic for one minute. i suspect it is made up by the same people who place every lazy under achiever somewhere on the autism spectrum...

I think you are looking for the term "lies, damn lies and statistics" wink
I agree with you Brucie. It's a bit like every child that is a "handful" has ADHD. It seems that we now live in a society that everything needs to be labelled or put in the appropriate box.
Many people are blighted by depression, of that I have no doubt, but there are many on medication, from anti depressants to methadone that have no real reason to be on it. (And yes I did say methadone but hey, at £200 per patient per year on a methadone script for participating GP's it can be a nice xmas bonus)
I am not against the death penalty.
I also have spent / do spend a great deal of time, energy and effort with offenders in attempting to get them to a better place in their lives. I can therefore understand where some people are coming from in writing to inmates who have found themselves in current circumstances through the chances (or lack of them)life has thrown at them.
I cant understand however people writing to serious serial offenders who have committed calculating crimes against others on more than one occasion. The likes of Ted Bundy, Ed Gein, Dennis Nielsen, Peter Sutcliffe, IMO, are or have been guilty of the theft of oxygen long after their crimes. There are many, many more out there.

I'm currently very into Caipirinhas:
1/2 fresh lime, quartered
3 teaspoons soft brown sugar
Muddle the above in a tumbler and add crushed ice
Top up with sugar cane rum, stir and savour... yum, yum!
So, what's your favourite cocktail and how is it made? x

Poof

Whatever you decide, good luck.

Ref the Posting rate. People are protesting due to the recent bans.

Nah, it's Bank Holiday weekend - always quiet. Even if you're right, people don't/won't protest for long - those banned will soon be forgotten. They always are.
I know I am at least partly right as people have posted in the forum and by PM saying that that is what they are doing.
Won't last long - they'll find something they want to post about and forget those who are banned.
Nobodies going to forget if every bloody thread has the subject brought up !! :giggle:
Well yesterday I was in Northampton, today I am popping to Birmingham and tomorrow I need to catch up on some jobs.
Oh my God, I really do have a life away from a website :eeek: :giggle:
