I had a lovely pair of size 13 jeans once. They do make the inbetween sizes, they just don't stock them in very many places. Like half sizes in shoes.

I call them my 'Gnmphs', which , coincidentally, is the sound made if you swallow loudly, as - and I'll explain - when I have 'company', and get as far as revealing my undergarments to them, by the time I've unbuttoned my skirt and let it fall gently to the floor, that's usually the noise I hear.

It's a ratio thing, a woman with a 36" who is 5' tall will have a different waist to height ratio than a woman a foot taller with the same waist measurement and will therefore look bigger for her size. Me and my sis-in-law are both a size ten. I'm 5'7" and she's 4'11" (bless her 
) so even though we have the same measurements widthwise, she looks bigger for her size because she's shorter.
Hope that made some kind of sense, if not, blame the Shiraz :D

I've read quite a few profile that say they wont consider a reply unless you have pics on your profile and they don't have any. Some may say it's shallow - I see it as a time saver, to see pics before you meet someone gives you an indication at least of whether you're going to be attracted or not.

I've put up ads, had replies and then a 'thanks but no thanks' after I've sent them more pics. I felt disapointed, yes. Rejected, yes. But I wouldn't have considered them timewasters. I've been called a timewaster several times because I didn't 'go' for someone. I think it's just a phrase that's banded about too much and has lost its meaning.
